  Vander Sanden, John Martin, N10514 Hwy B, Summit LakeAge 62, passed away March 27, 2002 at the VA Hospital - Madison. He was bo rn February 18, 1940 in Little Chute, Wisconsin to John Vander Sanden a nd Mary Hermus. John attended Little Chute High School and graduated in 19 56. John served in the army from 1958 to 1982 and served as a cook in Germ any and Vietnam. Following military retirement he moved to Summit Lake a nd was employed as a cook at the Elcho Restaurant for 10 years in Elcho, W isconsin. John was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Leg ion Post 211 of Copperas Cove, Texas and Disaled American Veterans. He enj oyed cooking, gardening, and fishing. John was a member of St. Mary Cathol ic Church, Pickerel, Wisconsin. Survivors are his sons: Greg and Elliot, b oth of Appleton; sister, Margaret "Mutz" (Don) LeBrec, Little Chute; broth er-in-law, Norbert Mischler, Deerbrook, Wisconsin; and sister-in-law, Bet ty Vander Sanden, Little Chute. He was preceded in death by his parents, J ohn Vander Sanden and Mary Hermus, sisters, Pat Schuh and Jane Mischler, a nd brother Casey Vander Sanden. The funeral will be Saturday, March 30, 20 02 at 11 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Pickerel, Wisconsin with t he Reverend Jerome Taddy officiating. Entombment will take place at St. Jo hn Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2002 fr om 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Pickerel. Bradley F uneral Home of Antigo, Wisconsin will be assisting the family with arrange ments.
