Peter Blindauer was born about 31 August 1826 in Greimerath to Michael Bli ndauer and Margaretha Zimmer. He was the only one of his family that I kn ow of that went to USA. He did not marry until 3 years after arriving abo ut 1854 and the first census I found him in listed him as a blacksmith.I found the Blindauer family in the Trier book and my g-aunt recalls him w riting to his sisters in Germany. No letters ever found, though.
