  Stuck, Matthew A. Menasha Age 84, passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2003. He was born on July 24, 1918 to Albert and Pauline (Distus) Stuck in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He grew up in the Sherwood area. Matt served in the Army, in the 9th Armor Division, 2nd Tank Battalion, "The Phantom 9" in Germany, during the Battle of the Bulge. Matt was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 152. Matt was the owner and CEO of Modern Mfg., Inc., Menasha. If you didn't find Matt at his shop tinkering around, he was in his other heavenly place, fishing on Lake Winnebago. Survivors include: Elenora, his wife of 37 years; his children: James (Judy), Brillion; David (Cookie), Neenah; Richard (Sharon), Freedom; Andrew (Liz), Appleton; Darlene (Craig) Berg, Appleton; Carol (John) Witt, Appleton; Patty (Jim) Walter, Dale; Shirley Stuck, Menasha; Maria (Phillip) Hanson, Menasha; Matthew (Karen Wonser), Menasha; Allen (Beth), Menasha. Matt is also survived by his brother, Raymond (Marion), Appleton; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; ten step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Matt was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Albert, sisters: Rose Bemke and Mary Birling; grandsons: David, Daniel and Christopher. The Family would like to thank Matt's daughter, Shirley, for her loving care, she was at his side until the end. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2003, at Westgor Funeral Home in Menasha with Reverend John Krueger officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be n St. Mary Cemetery in Menasha. God saw he was getting tired, and a cure was not to be: So He put his arms around him, and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched him suffer, and saw him fade away; Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest: God broke our heart to prove to us, He only takes the best! We will miss you Dad, Love your Family. The Stuck Family would like to give our deepest sympathy to Harry O. Johnson Family; they lost a great person on the same day we lost ours.
