  Notes	In my query the assumption I had was that Alphonse Gevelinger from Miner al Point, Iowa Co. WI, was adirect descendant (son, grandson) of Frank Gevelinger from Sherwood, Calum et Co. WI.It was a letter initialed F.G. sent from Sherwood and p ublished in the Dubuquepaper "Luxemburger Gazette" 3 Mar 1908 that related the marriage of Alphon se Gevelinger in MineralPoint and stated that the newly wed couple went on a honeymoon trip to She rwood and Appleton tovisit with relatives, which prompted me to conclude to a close kinship.Some replies I got from Alphonse Gevelinger descendants suggested Sandwei ler and a place called "Ltrize" in Luxembourg as birth place.This feedback prompted me to look up the ancestry line of both people on t he microfilms at theNational Archives in Luxembourg-City.
