I have been trying to locateher ancestors for over a year now. I've b een able tosurmise that her family came over in 1871 from Bohemia(also men tioned as Austria in some census records) Herparents were Josef and Catharina Schimmer who werealready married and h ad a two year old daughter Lousia when they immigrated. Let me know if y ou are stillinterested in the descendants of Herbert andKatherine. Her bir th date is listed incorrectly-- shewas born in 1880 (have been unable to f ind her birthcertificate- but her death certificate, marriagerecord and fa mily history all match up with the 1880 date.) From what I ha ve found her mother's name was Catharina (probably Luaker) and her father 's name was Josef.. they immigrated around 1871.. they were already marrie d.
