Coenen, Rita C. (Summers) Rita C. (Summers) Coenen, 84, De Pere, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, with her family by her side. She was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Wrightstown, to the late Maurice and Ella (Nies) Summers. Rita was a longtime devoted parishioner at St. Mary Catholic Community, De Pere. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her children, Kathy (Gary) Coppus, Robert (Ellen) Coenen, Patricia (Neil) Pipkorn, Joseph Coenen, James Coenen, Ronald Coenen and Janet Coenen; grandchildren, Laura and Teresa Coppus, Matthew Stein, Tricia (Randy) Willems, Joanna Stein and Derrick and Cody Pipkorn; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Ethan Willems; sisters, Irene Summers, Theresa (Brawley) Vaughn and Ann (Dennis) Van Grinsven; brothers-in-law, Jerry Coenen and Harry (Nancy) Coenen; sisters-in-law, Ev Summers and Betty (Francis) Rentmeester; dear friend, Carol Jacklin; and many other family and friends. Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her parents, Maurice and Ella; son, Roy Coenen; daughter, Julie Coenen; brothers, Joseph and Robert Summers; and sister-in-law, Eunice Coenen. Family and friends may call Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, from 9 a.m. until the hour of Mass at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John the XXIII Circle, off Sportsman Drive, Town of Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at the church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joel Sember officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
