  Van Linn, Edward J.Edward J. Van Linn, age 75, of Appleton, passed away on Tuesday, January 2 5, 2005 at his home. He was born on May 11, 1929 to the late Edward and Ad riana (Janssen) Van Linn in Little Chute. After serving with the United St ates Army and the United States Air Force he worked for James River Pap er Company as an electrician. On August 12, 1955 he married Delaine Sieg el and they shared 49 years.Edward was a Union Officer for the AFL-CIO Local #148 for many years. He w as also a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258 in Little Ch ute.He is survived by his wife, Delaine; his sons: Daniel (special friend Kat hy and her son, Sam) Van Linn of Brillion, Douglas (Terri) Van Linn of App leton, Allan (Rachelle) Van Linn of Menasha, Anthony (Pauline) Van Li nn of Thornton, CO; his daughters: Patricia (Robert) Moss of Brillion, Dia ne Sack of Menasha; Brother: John Van Linn; Brother-in-law: Joe Biestervel t; Sisters: Mary Jane Wendel, Linda (Norbert) Schabo, Sandra (Gene) Van de Hey; Sister-in-law Rita Van Linn Grandchildren: Angela, Bradley(Farran ), Elizabeth, Ryan, Valarie, David, Robert, Kathryn, Stephen, Samantha, Ed die, Stevie, Tim, Dennis, Rachel; Great grandchildren: Brexton, Devon, Lil ly, and Dillon as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and fr iends.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, David; Bro thers: William and Robert; sisters Gladys Biestervelt and Elaine Honick a nd a son-in-law Frank Sack.A memorial mass will held for Mr. Van Linn on Friday, January 28, 20 05 at 5 p.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Appleton with Father Just in Werner officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of t he mass at church. Full military honors will be performed by the membe rs of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258 following the memorial mas s.
