  No funeral will be conducted for August B. Billig, 76, of Paradise, who died Wednesday in a local convalescent hospital. Born Feb. 3, 1909 in Minnesota, he moved to Paradise from Oregon in 1976. Billig served in the Navy for 30 years before his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion and Retired Officers Association. He is survived by his wife, Laura of Paradise; a son, Bruce of Sacramento; three brothers, the Rev. Maynard of St. Louis, MO., the Rev. Cloud of Washington, MO., and Joseph of Wisconsin; two sisters, Sisters Laurentia Billig and Francis Mary Billig, both of Minnesota; and two grandchildren. Inurnment is pending.
