  West, John E., AppletonAge 65, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 18, 2003. He was born in Apple ton on September 13, 1938 the son of Nicholas and Helen (Schultz) West.John graduated from Appleton West High School, joined the army for a coup le of years and then became a truck driver. He was self employed and lov ed to drive over-the-road in his 18-wheeler. He resided in Minnesota for m ost of his life. When he wasn't over the road, he enjoyed spending time wi th his grandchildren.He will be sadly missed by his mother, Helen Lenz, Appleton; sons: Steve W est, Neenah; John Michael West, Florida; daughters: Elaine (Patrick) Epp s, Florida and Ann (Ray) Brown, New London; grandchildren: Michael and Mic helle Epps and Matthew and Sara Brown; brother, William (Terri) West, Appl eton; two sisters: Jannette (Jack) Mignon, Appleton; Mary Helen (Kennet h) Walbrun, Menasha; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas.The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2003 at V alley Funeral Home with Father Larry Abler officiating. Visitation wi ll be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of other expressi ons of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.The family would like to extend their gratitude to John's nephew, John Mig non, for opening his home to John.
