  Van Groll, John P.John P. Van Groll, age 88, of Appleton died peacefully Sunday morning, Mar ch 7, 2004 at Parkside Care Center, Little Chute. He was born October 1, 1 915 son of Peter and Mary (Evers) Van Groll. John married Martha Joosten M ay 21, 1940 and she preceded him in death March 14, 1999. Mr. and Mrs. V an Groll made their home and farmed in the Town of Grand Chute for 40 yea rs before retiring in 1980. John was a charter member of St. Thomas More C atholic Church. He enjoyed his family and farming.Mr. Van Groll is survived by his four children: Mary (Dale) Rohm, Greenvil le; Martin (Char) Van Groll and Judy (James) Van Handel both of Appleto n; Monica (Guy) Hanagan, Kaukauna; 9 grandchildren: Jason (Dawn) and Melin da Rohm, Chad Van Groll, Angie (Robert) Heibler, Jermey Van Groll, Cindy ( Michael) Techlin, Kevin Van Handel, Kris (Scott) Hebbring and Jeff Hanaga n; 2 great grandchildren: Brandon and Jacob Van Groll; a special nephew, J ames (Bobbie) Van Groll and their children; Benjamin, Robbie and Barbar a, Kaukauna and a sister and brother-in-law, Delia and Gene Lamers, Darbo y, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents: Peter and Mary Van Groll; 3 broth ers and sisters-in-law; Henry and Dora Van Groll, William and Barbara V an Groll and Joseph and Mary Van Groll; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law: An thony and Mary Feldkamp and Margaret Van Groll; father-in-law and mother-i n-law, Martin and Hattie (Hendricks) Joosten; 6 brothers-in-law and 3 sist ers-in-law; Francis, Henry (Lauretta), John (Olive), Frank and Stephen Joo sten, Richard and Anna Vander Heiden.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 200 4, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. I nterment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at t he Verkuilen Funeral Home form 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the church fr om 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the mass. A prayer service wi ll be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been e stablished. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Father Fa lk and the staff at Parkside Care Center.You will always be our inspiration and strength. Thank you for everythi ng you have done for us.
