Eugene Paul "Gene" Blair, beloved father and husband, passed away May 17, 2010, with his family by his side. Gene, born August 3, 1946, was the second of five children born to Edward and Virginia Blair of Kaukauna, Wisconsin. He was an engineer at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, until his death. He is survived by his devoted wife, Irene Blair; siblings: Stephen (Jayne) Blair, Donald (Kristine) Blair, Shirley (Gary) DeBruin and Ronald (Barbara) Blair; three daughters: Stephanie Jones, Amanda Moore and Samantha Blair; two sons-in-law: Earle Jones Sr. and Michael Moore; three grandchildren: Earle Jones Jr., Madeleine Moore and Marion Moore; and his faithful canine companion, "J.D." Gene was preceded in death by his parents. A special thank you to the nurses and doctors at Chippenham Levinson Heart Hospital. Visitation was Thursday, May 20, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Epiphany Catholic Church on Friday, May 21, at 10 a.m. Interment Dale Memorial Park.
