  Jean Vandenberg, age 62, of Appleton, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015. Jean was born on February 19, 1953, in Appleton, to Paul and Lucille (Winter) Vandenberg. She graduated from Xavier High School and attended the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. Jean was devoted to her faith and belief in God our Father. She worked for many years in the restaurant business and always enjoyed serving and helping others. Jean loved to read, go for walks and chat on the phone with family and friends. One of her greatest joys was her cat, Missy Fluger. Survivors include her mother, Lucille Vandenberg; her siblings, Mary (Dick) Huss, Janet (Rick) LePak, Nancy (Ron) Anderson, Gary (Betty) Vandenberg, Wayne (Rhonda) Vandenberg, Ward Vandenberg and Paula (Hank) Garner; her brother-in-law, Bob Meyer; family friends Bob Merrill and Roland Schabach; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Vandenberg; and her sisters, Betty Meyer and Linda Fuerst. Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton, with Pastor Joel Zeiner officiating.
