  David P. Heidemann, age 68 of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, May 2, 2017 at Evergreen Care Center in Shawano. David was born May 28, 1948 in Appleton, Wisconsin, a son of the late John and Ella (Grode) Heidemann. He attended school in Kimberly. Following school he was employed at Brillion Iron Works and later at a tile company. David was a loving man who provided home care for his significant other for over a year and a half. He enjoyed the sport of bowling. He was a very simple man who loved his family. While a resident at Evergreen Care Center, David was very active with all affairs. Survivors include his sisters, Irene (Ralph) Boldt of Menasha and Theresa (Ivan) Young of Shawano; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and Robert Heidemann; his sisters, Beatrice and Mary Pat Heidemann; and his sister-in-law, Lois Heidemann. A Funeral Mass for David P. Heidemann will be celebrated on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. Fr. Luke Ferris will be the Celebrant. Interment will take place at Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery in Kimberly at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass.
