  Roman N. Foegen 1604 Kenneth Ave., Kaukauna Age 80. died Tuesday morning after a short illness. He was born May 1, 1895 in Montana, Wisconsin. He moved to the Kaukauna area in 1915 and worked for Thilmany Pulp and Paper Mill for 35 years, retiring in 1960. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He was a member of the Thilmany Quarter Century Club; the Knights of Columbus; the Catholic Knights; and the American Legion Post No. 41, Kaukauna. He was a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude VanderHeiden Foegen; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Dougherty; two sons: Colonel George Foegen, Frankfurt, Germany; and Paul, Appleton; a brother. Henry, Kaukauna; a sister, Mrs. Henry (Elizabeth) Komp, Manawa; and 14 grandchildren. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Father Donald Fuller officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Kaukauna. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna after 4 p.m. Wednesday. A Legion memorial service will be 7 Wednesday evening and a prayer service will be 8 Wednesday evening.
