  James P. Wilz, 66 of Appleton, died unexpectedly on Thursday February 28, 2013. He was born in Appleton September 16, 1946, son of the late Earl and Katherine (Smith) Wilz. James married Karen Ellenbecker on April 20, 1985. James worked for Appleton Mills/Voith Fabric for 34 years, retiring in 2004. James was an avid bowler. He loved to fish, play cards and games. James was loved by many and he always came up with the best one-liners for a good laugh. James is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Karen; a brother, John Wilz (special friend, Kris), Appleton; sister-in-law, Shirley Ellenbecker, Appleton; brother-in-law, John (Mary) Ellenbecker, Appleton; his extended family, Bob and Sue Lee, Appleton, Rich and Debbie Logan, Appleton; and several other relatives and friends. James was further preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie. Funeral service will be 7:00 PM on Monday March 4, 2013 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 4:00pm until the hour of service. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. Published in Appleton Post-Crescent on March 3, 2013
