She was a homemaker in Hillsboro, where she lived most of her life before moving in 2003 to Beaverton. She was a member of the church for 70 years. In 1935, she married Raymond H.; he died in 1996.Survivors include her daughters, Mary Heesacker, Sister Anna Hertel, Grace Link, Sister Catherine Hertel, Barbara Hertel, Dorothy Lewis, Joan Stieger, Rita Waibel, Marilyn Doeleman; sons, Al, Dick and Phil; brother, Floyd Vandehey; 43 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.Remembrances to the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon.
