  From Tom Duescher; Files; Margaret - I attended St. Nicholas School and gra duated with a class of 33. I attended Freedom High School for two year s. I didn't like it so Dad said I could stay home and help Mother who was n't feeling good at the time. I did go out and do housework different tim es for the sum of $2.00 a week. Only to get lonesome when the week was up .While I was at High School I met Clem and after dating for four years we d ecided to get married.After our marriage we moved on Clem's home place where his Mother lived wi th us for 17 years. She probably would have lived with us until her dea th if I didn't get sick and the doctor said I had too much work caring f or an invalid mother-in-law and having six children and a farm to care for .Since retiring, I keep busy making quilts, embroidering, visiting, doing c harity work for St. Vincent De Paul Society (lovingly known to us as Vinny 's Boutique) and enjoying the grandchildren.
