Bangor, Wis. - Roy L. Garves, 70, of Bangor, died Tuesday, April 19, 200 5, of an apparent heart attack. He was born Jan. 24, 1935, in La Crosse to Leslie and Hilma (Knudson) Garv es. On Oct. 15, 1957, he married Donna Rondorf at St. Mary's Catholic Chur ch in Bangor. Roy was employed at Numsen TV in La Crosse for many years a nd later became co-owner of the business. Roy enjoyed gardening, feeding b irds and being an avid Packers and Brewers fan. Survivors include his wife, Donna; six children, Pam (Jeff) Radtke of Bang or, Julie Erickson of West Salem, Wis., Nancy (Monte) Wingert of Rocklan d, Wis., Karla (Duane) Luethe of West Salem, Kristen (Dan) Trauts ch of La Crosse and David (Melissa) Garves of Germantown, Wis.; 13 grandch ildren; three sisters, Joyce (Elmer) Hatz of Bangor and Mollie (Junior) V an Wormer and Bonnie Garves, both of Sparta; three brothers, Wilford (Lorr ie) Garves and Howard (Joyce) Garves, both of Sparta, and Richard (Marily n) Garves of Tolona, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Tyler Gullickson. Memorial services will be held Friday, April 22, at 11 a.m. at Jandt Funer al Home, Hwy. 162 and Hattan St., Bangor. Father Bob Hegenbarth of St. Mar y's Catholic Church, Bangor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary 's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 un til 7 p.m. and also Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
