  Robert D. Thon, Kaukauna, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, October 27, 2013. He was born January 8, 1923, in the Town of Harrison, the son of the late Herman and Mary (Zollpriester) Thon. Robert was a WWII Veteran, serving his country in the US Navy. Robert worked his entire career at Combined Locks Paper Mill, until his retirement in 1988. Robert enjoyed time with his brother Steve, hunting and taking drives. Robert is survived by many nieces and nephews and other relatives. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Mary; sisters: Georgia (Henry-James) Meyrhofer-Rochon, Florence (John) Hruska, Bernice (Raymond) Carducci, Marion (Norman) Parizek, Marilyne (Leslie) McConnel, and Gladys (Francis) Claveers; brothers: Stephen and Kenneth (Betty Lou) Thon. Funeral Services for Robert will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna.
