  Mary Anna DeBruin, age 73, of Kaukauna passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born the daughter of the late John and Mary (Ashauer) Berghuis on March 29, 1942. She graduated from Kaukauna High School. She worked for Gustman Car Dealership for over 42 years. Mary was an avid quilter who loved to garden, travel, bowl, and spend time in Eagle River. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and was always there to help others. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Mary is survived by her children, Mike (Julie) DeBruin and his step children James, Crystal and her children, Siobhan and Anita Boss, and William (Charlotte) Lutze and their children Grace and Lillian; Ann (Paul) Neville and her children Stephanie, Thomas, Nicholas St. John, and Betsy (Nathan) Frailey and their son Nathan; and James (Beth) DeBruin; sisters: Joan Van Dyke and Betty (David) Hahn; brothers Jack Berghuis and Tom (Terry) Berghuis; and sister-in-law Betty Berghuis. She is preceded in death by her parents; her special friend Bernie Marx; sister Ruth Strum; brother Robert Berghuis; sister-in-law Rose Berghuis; and brother-in-law William Van Dyke. Funeral Services for Mary will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2015 at SAINT KATHARINE DREXEL AT SAINT MARY CHURCH, 119 West Seventh Street, Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna. Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. Online condolences may be offered at www.boettcherfamilyfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name. Special thank you to Patty Hamby and Nancy Wilson for being mom's angels and helping through out her journey. Ganddaughter Stephanie St. John for taking special care of Grandma. Lastly, thank you to Fox Valley Hematology Center and ThedaCare at Home for taking care of Mary every step of the way. -
