Obituary:
Loraine (Koehler) Holcombe passed away at home on April 27, 2010, with her family at her side. She was born in Weyauwega on January 25, 1927, to the late Walter and Elsie (Miller) Koehler. She worked at the Weyauwega Hotel becoming manager for many years. Loraine married Leslie (Archie) Holcombe in 1973 and they lived in Milwaukee until returning to Weyauwega. She loved spending time with her family and was affectionately known as Nana to her grandchildren. Loraine enjoyed crocheting, puzzling and playing cards with her friends and family. She was a member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.
Loraine is survived by her children: Barb (Norm) Harris, Judy Gilbertson, David (Nancy) Gilbertson, Cindy Preuss (Judi Kiefer) and Judi's son, Michael. Her grandchildren: Tracy Grambsch and fiance Patrick Lyons, Chad (Rachel) Grambsch, Carly (Ben) Rhodes, Erin (Jason) Wait and step-grandchild, Rebecca (David) Kuchenbecker. Great-grandchildren Joseph, Benjamin, Megan and Brady Grambsch, Charlie Wait and Jacob Kuchenbecker. She is further survived by her twin brother, Leroy (Geneva) Koehler, Werner (Jeanine) Koehler, and Duane (Elizabeth) Koehler.
Loraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Verona (Robert) Wohlt and Ardyce (Lee) DeBruin.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2010, at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, Weyauwega, with the Rev. Dennis Lemke and Robbin Robbert officiating. Relatives and friends will gather at Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home, Weyauwega, Sunday afternoon from 2-6 p.m. and again at church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to Pastor Lemke, Pastor Robbert, ThedaCare Hospice and to family and friends for their help and support.
