    Obituary:
Blindauer, Donald J., Age 92, of Middleton, passed away after a short illness, on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at home with family. Donald was born on October 25, 1925, in Green Bay, WI, the son of Edward and O'Delia (VandeWettering) Blindauer.
After graduating from Green Bay East High School, he enlisted in the Army Air Corp and served in WWII. Upon returning from service he enrolled in UW Madison where he earned his Doctorate of Law degree in 1954. He married Joyce Christian on May 19, 1951 in Green Bay WI, and they shared 66 wonderful years together.
After finishing law school, he worked with Dave Eastwood Attorney at Law in Middleton. During this time, he served as Middleton's first Justice of the Peace. Donald formed Continental Mortgage Insurance in 1960 with their headquarters in Madison. He semi-retired from CMI in 1972. After a few years enjoying fishing on Lake Michigan he opened a private law practice in Middleton before joining the partnership of Brunette, Blindauer and Ersland Attorneys at Law where he retired.
He was one of the founding members of the Middleton Optimist Club where he served as Secretary/Treasurer and President. He was a member of the American Bar Assn. until his recent death.
He was a die-hard Packer and Badger fan. He grew up going to Packer games and even watched their practices from his high school class room. He very seldom missed watching a Badger game.
He was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed fishing Lake Michigan, Door County, and camping and fishing in Canada with his family. He enjoyed pheasant hunting with his favorite companion "Zulu". He liked playing golf at Pleasant View Golf Course and played in leagues for many years. He was an avid bowler and bowled in the Businessman's league at the Middleton Sport Bowl. He volunteered with Boy Scout Troop 40 in Middleton where he enjoyed camping and the outdoor trips with the scouts.
In addition to his wife of 66 years, Joyce, survivors include his son, John (Nancy); daughter, Kari (Todd) Landry; two grandchildren, Lucas (Gwyn) Blindauer and Madison Landry; his great-grandson, Kaeden Blindauer; his sister, Betty (Paul) Gallagher; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robert.
In honor of Donald's wishes, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the UW Carbone Cancer Center in Donald's name.
