    Mary L. Van Ooyen, 80, Mesa, AZ passed away peacefully on Friday, December 7, 2012.
    Mary was born November 20, 1932, Appleton WI, daughter of the late Felix and Adell (Appleton) Meulemans. Mary graduated from Kimberly High School in 1950. She married the love of her life, Donald Van Ooyen on October 20, 1951, at Holy Name Church, in Kimberly, WI. Mary and Don raised their family of six children in Darboy, WI, before residing in Mesa, AZ.
    She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Van Ooyen, Mesa, AZ; six children, Pat (Jeff) Austin, Laurie Austin, Mark Van Ooyen, Amy (Dennis) Vandenberg, John Van Ooyen, and Lisa (Rob) Berghuis; 13 grandchildren, Matt (Monika) Austin and Becky (Corbin) Richartz, Uriah (Elissa) Van Ooyen, Travis (Nicole) and Cortney Vandenberg, Ashley Van Jetzer, Hannah, John, and Mikayla Van Ooyen, Lindsey (Chris) Strickland, Luke (Stacey) and Sam Berghuis; 17 great-grandchildren, Elliot and Shilah Austin, Kinleigh, Breckin and Sutton Richartz, Jessica and Hunter Pahl, Ivy and Ian Van Ooyen, Preston, Colton and Tatum Vandenberg, Ashton Van Jetzer, Sammy, Levi and Lily Strickland, Grayson Berghuis; three sisters, Dorothy (Bob) Etka, Peggy (Tom) Gruenke, Jean Kenjesky; one sister-in-law, Bea Meulemans; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Adele Meulemans; her father and mother-in-law, John and Clara Van Ooyen; sister, Betty Weyenberg; brother-in-law, Dick Weyenberg; brother-in-law, Jack Van Lieshout; brother, Bob Meulemans; brother-in-law, Terry Kenjesky; granddaughter, Sativa Pahl.
    Family and friends are invited to a funeral service on Thursday, December 13, at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1551 E. Dana Ave., Mesa, AZ 85204. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Christ the King Church in her name.

    Mark Richard Van Ooyen, Little Chute, age 57, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014. He was born in Appleton on March 6, 1957 to Donald and Mary (Meulemans) Van Ooyen. He was a graduate of Kimberly High School. Mark served in the Army and was a veteran of the Gulf War. He also graduated from Fox Valley Technical College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. Mark was the buffet chef at Main Event Steakhouse since its inception.
    Mark was a free spirit that followed the beat of his own drum. He was an avid gardener and co-founder of the Little Chute Garden Club. Mark also enjoyed cooking, fishing, and woodworking.
    Mark is survived by his son Uriah (Elissa), Iron Mountain, MI; grandchildren: Ivy and Ian Van Ooyen, Jessica and Hunter Pahl; father Donald; and sisters: Pat (Jeff) Austin, Laurie Austin, Lisa Berghuis and Amy (Dennis) Vandenberg. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Mark was preceded in death by his daughter Sativa Pahl; mother Mary; and brother John.

    John Anthony Van Ooyen, 50, of Little Chute, Wisconsin passed away on September 17, 2013 with family by his side at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI.
    John was born January 11, 1963 in Appleton, WI at St. Elizabeth to Donald and Mary (Meulemans) Van Ooyen. He grew up in Darboy, WI and graduated from Kimberly High School, class of 1981.
    John was a son, a brother, a father and a friend. His siblings playfully nicknamed him "Cubby" and to many he was known as " Chopper John." He resided in Kewaskum, WI for 20 years where he ran a local, wild game butcher shop. He enjoyed summers fishing and camping, where great family memories were made.
    John is survived by his father, Donald Van Ooyen; former wife, Linda Van Ooyen; four children, Ashley (Rebecca) Van Jetzer, Hannah Van Ooyen, John Van Ooyen and Mikayla Van Ooyen; one grandson, Ashton Van Jetzer; Five siblings, Pat (Jeff) Austin, Laurie Austin, Mark Van Ooyen, Amy (Dennis) Vandenberg, and Lisa (Rob) Berghuis; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
    John was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Meulemans) Van Ooyen.
    Farewell service for family and friends will be held at St. Michael's church in Kewaskum, WI on Friday October 18, at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Michael's Church at 8883 Forest View Rd, Kewaskum, WI 53040.
    Private family memorial will be held for John at Clear Lake in Woodruff, WI, October 19, 2013.
