Hurst, Richard LeeRichard Hurst, 60, of Cloquet, MN, formerly of Kaukauna, died peacefully T hursday, March 30, 2006, in St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN, after his c ourageous battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side. Dick w as born January 8, 1946, in Appleton to Harold and Pearl (Dittman) Hurs t. He graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1964. On June 10, 1967, he ma rried Kathy VandenBoogaard in Kimberly. He worked at Thilmany Pulp and Pap er Company in Kaukauna until 1987 at which time he moved to Cloquet. He wo rked for StoraEnso Paper Company in Duluth until retiring in 2003.Dick was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and the Knights of Col umbus. Dick enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time outdoor s. He was an avid baseball fan, enjoyed visiting ball parks, and coachi ng youth baseball and softball. He also enjoyed traveling and visiting his torical sites.He is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Chris (Becky) of Kaukauna; daughte rs: Paula (Scott) Reaves of Wisconsin Rapids, Shelly (Shawn) Manisto of Pr ior Lake, MN, Katie (fiance, Craig Stevens) Hurst of Omaha, Nebraska; brot her, Scott (Kristi) of Sherwood; sisters: Shirley Linzmeyer and Judy (Mat t) Mitchell, both of Kaukauna: Lynn Tepolt and Connie (Jim) Sericati, bo th of Appleton; five grandchildren: Kyle, Jake, and Derek Manisto, Cole a nd Luke Hurst.Dick was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law: Jeff Tepolt, Gene Lin zmeyer and Bill Gerhardt.Visitation will be from 9:30 until the 11 a.m. Memorial Mass on Friday, Ap ril 7, 2006, in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna. Inurnment wi ll be in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Appleton.
