    Mrs. Anton P. Oudenhoven, (M athilda Verhagen), age 79 died Friday evening after a long illness. She w as born April 1st, 1902 in Kaukauna. She lived in the Fox Valley area a ll of her life. Mrs. Oudenhoven was a life member of the third order of S t. Francis, a member of the Kimberly Golden Agers, Holy Name Catholic Chur ch, the ladies of Holy Name and the mission society. Survivors include a d aughter, Mrs. Peter (Rita) VanSambeek, of Kimberly, a son Kenneth, of Milw aukee, two sons and daughters in law, Jerome and Marion, Donald and Car ol all of Kimberly, a brother Nick Verhagen, of Menasha, 18 grandchildr en and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husban d, three sisters and three brothers. The funeral be at 12 noon Monday wi th a concelebrated Mass at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly with Re v. Greg Smith Monsignor Jim Vandenhogen and Deacon Dennis Drury officiatin g. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

    Rita Mary Ann Van Sambeek, Kimberly, age 90, died Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Appleton. She was born in Appleton on June 12, 1926 to the late Tony and Matilda (Verhagen) Oudenhoven. Rita married Pete Van Sambeek Jr. on August 20, 1946 at Holy Name Parish in Kimberly. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2005.
    Rita is survived by her children: Judy (Loran) Pilling of Minneapolis; Barb Van Sambeek of Appleton; Jim (Joy) Van Sambeek of Appleton; Donna Van Sambeek of Kimberly; Becky (Dave) Van Boxtel of Kimberly; and Dan (Kim) Van Sambeek of Appleton; 9 grandchildren: Rhonda, Renee, Bridget, Peggy, Brian, Gretchen, Tiffany, Clint and Shelby; 4 great grandchildren: Nathan, Natalie, Noah and Alana.
    Rita is also survived by sisters-in-law: Marion, Carol and Carole Oudenhoven, Agnes ( Mickey ) Gray, Patricia ( Lester ) Plutz; and brother-in-law: Tom ( Maria ) Van Sambeek. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Pete; brothers: Jerome, Ken and Don Oudenhoven; and great granddaughters, Faith and Hannah Brantmeier.
    Her greatest loves were her husband and family, faith, sewing, and later in life, reading. Rita could sew anything from wedding dresses to Clint's destroyed blue jeans! There was always a pile of clothes to sew or patch from us kids, and later a pile of books to read.
    A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at ST. PAUL PARISH (409 Wallace St. Combined Locks). The Rev. Andrew Kysely will officiate. Following Mass, Rita's family and friends will gather to share in fellowship and memories in the church basement.
    In lieu of flowers Mom requested any donations be set aside for the Kimberly Public Library.

    Kenneth L. Oudenhoven, 84 of Frenchtown, MT, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at his home in Sorrel Springs.
    Ken was born Jan. 18, 1928, in Kimberly, Wis., to Matilda and Anthony Oudenhoven. He received a degree in education from St. Norbert's College at Du Pere, Wis., and attended Marquette University at Milwaukee, Wis., where he received a master's degree in administration.
    Ken taught for 35 years in the Wisconsin Oak Creek School District, teaching earth science and math. Upon retirement, he was a naturalist for the Wehr Nature Center, continuing to teach and volunteer.
    As a member of the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC), he was a charter member of the Board of Directors. In addition, he helped establish the Wisconsin Education Insurance Trust, serving on the board of directors for 13 years. This afforded many opportunities to travel all over the country as a further means for training and consulting. The trust started with three employees and today employs more than 3,000 people.
    While serving on the National Education Association's Resolutions Committee, he met his wife, Carole Swanson Farlin, whisking Carole from Montana to Wisconsin.
    Ken officiated swimming, track, football and basketball at both the high school and college levels. He was a member of the Milwaukee Officials Association, National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association and the Wisconsin Scorers and Timers Association.
    He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus (Cardinal Stritch Council No. 4614, Milwaukee), holding every major office. Ken continued his active involvement in the Father J. Fred Reidy Council 1021 here in Missoula.
    In 2000, Carole and Ken returned to Montana and they built their dream home in Frenchtown. Ken continued to be active in the education field, tutoring math at Frenchtown Junior High School as well as occasional officiating of track. He served as treasurer for the Sorrel Springs Homeowners Association.
    Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Carole (Frenchtown); daughter and son-in-law Michele and Bill Flemming and granddaughters Stephanie and Nicole (Milwaukee); son Kevin Oudenhoven (Madison, Wis.); stepdaughter Wendy Farlin (Valdez, Alaska); stepdaughter and son-in-law Andrea and Michael Schlueter, grandson Brandon and granddaughter Jessica (Potomac); sister Rita Van Sambeek and sisters-in-law Marian and Carol Oudenhoven (Kimberly, Wis.); brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ed and Helga Swanson (Phoenix); along with several nieces and nephews.
    A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Frenchtown with Father Bart Tolleson officiating. A reception will follow at the church Fellowship Hall.
    Memorials may be made to the Frenchtown Junior High math department.

    Donald T.Oudenhoven, age 66, d ied Tuesday, June 4th, 1996 at his home following a heart attack. He is b orn October 29th, 1929 in Appleton, the son of the late Anton P. and Matil da (Verhagen) Oudenhoven. Don lived in Kimberly all his life. On Novemb er 24th, 1956 he married Carol Cisler. Don worked at Tuttle Press Artfai re for 40 years and was formerly secretary and president for Local 324. D on was very active in scouting for 44 years. Presently he was Assistant S coutmaster with Boys Scout troop 67, Appleton. He received the St. Geor ge Award and the Silver Beaver and was a Vigil in the Order of the Arro w. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly where he w as an usher for 30 years and presently Eucharistic Minister. Don serv ed in the Korean conflict and was a member of American Legion post 60 of K imberly and the VFW Harvey Pierre Post 2778 of Appleton. Don loved playi ng Santa for his grandchildren and fishing and camping with his family a nd scouts. He also enjoyed square dancing for 30 years.     Oudenhoven, Leon, “Lee” Litt le ChuteAge 53, died peacefully Friday June 20, 2003 at his home. He was born Nove mber 3, 1949 in Appleton, WI son of Jerome and Marion (Sprangers) Oudenhov en. On May 20, 1972 Lee married the former Mary Pankratz at Holy Name Cath olic Church in Kimberly. The couple lived in the Kimberly area their enti re married lives, moving to Little Chute a year ago. Lee was employed at B ergstrom Buick-Pontiac-GMC. He had three loves in his life; his family, h is fishing and his playing of Santa to generations of area families. He w as a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly. Survivors include h is wife Mary, Little Chute, a daughter Tammy (special friend Keith), Chica go, a son, Kyle (special friend, Sarah), Stevens Point, his mother, Mari on (special friend Ed Klarner), Kimberly, a sister and brother-in-law, Shi rley (Jim) Vander Heiden, Appleton, 3 brothers and sisters-in-law; Duane ( Betsy) Oudenhoven, Chicago, IL, Bruce (Malynda) Oudenhoven, Little Chut e, Dr. Keith (Pam) Oudenhoven, Kimberly.     Vander Heiden, Shirley A. (Oudenhoven)
    Shirley A. Vander Heiden (Oudenhoven), Appleton, age 57, went home to the Lord Friday, July 24, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born in Appleton on August 27, 1952, to Jerome and Marion (Sprangers) Oudenhoven. Shirley married and later separated from Gary Yingling, after having a son Jordan. She then married James "Jim" Vander Heiden on June 25, 1993, who preceded her in death September 11, 2006. Shirley loved the outdoors, spending time at the cottage in Shawano, and particularly enjoyed tending to her flowers.
    Shirley is survived by her son, Jordan (Kelly) Yingling of Appleton; stepchildren: Vickie (Peter) Zipperer, Kaukauna; and Scott (Kristy) Vander Heiden, Darboy; grandchildren: Cailin, Carsen, Claire, Joshua and Abigail; mother, Marion (special friend Edward Klarner) Oudenhoven; mother-in-law, Grace Vander Heiden; brothers: Duane (Betsy), Bruce (Malynda) and Keith (Pam) Oudenhoven; sister-in-law, Mary Oudenhoven; and nieces and nephews: Tammy (Keith) Spilak, Mollie, Elessa, Amy, Carrie, Kyle (Sara) and James Oudenhoven.
