    Notes:

    Family History Researcher:
From Bryan Kenna in Australia Email; kennab@bigpond.comThe evidence that this man is the brother of Patrick (Old Ireland) McKen na is not strong. By the same token, the evidence that he is not such brother is less. Very many features abo ut this man suggest that he was such a
brother and the son of John Kinna. The Christian nanmes of the children of Michael (+Annie St. Laurence) a re very familiar family names e.g.
Anne, Mary , Winifred, Ellen, Michael, John and Tom.Again, if you take the Christian names of Michael(+Annie St. Laurence)'s b rother Thomas (the Butt)McKenna we have the same similariey e.g. Mary, Briugid, John, Margaret a nd Thomas. There is also the fact that The Tythe Applotments Books of Parish O'Gonnel loe show Thomas McKennaoning 10 acres3 roods at Ballyloughnane in 1827. As an aside, Lot McKen na is show as holding 5 acres atBallyloughnane in the same year.m Assuming that they were responsible adul ts in order to hold such land, itwould be reasonable to assume they were born about 1795 which is the appro ximate birth of Patrick Old
Ireland Kenna. Also in the Clare Heritage Centre Report on Thomas wa mention of a mysteri ous Patrick McKenna who in1855 Griffiths is mentioned as having 12 acres 2 roods and 18 perches in B allyloughnane. I cannot place this
    man.
