    Obituary:
Robert William Parman, 217 W. Tenth Street, Kaukauna
Age 84. Beloved brother, uncle and friend, Robert "Bunny" Parman left us unexpectedly Sunday evening. Bob's last moments were spent walking on a beautiful autumn afternoon to attend mass at St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish where he began his Christian life in Baptism, was educated, confirmed and finally called home to rest. Bob was born on May 12, 1916, at home in Kaukauna where he spent his entire life. Bob graduated from Kaukauna High School with the class of 1933. Bob retired from Thilmany Pulp and Paper where he was a journeyman electrician and member of the Quarter Century Club. Bob's love of music played a major role in his life. He was an accomplished pianist, woodwind musician, and director. In earlier years he sang with and directed the Saint Mary Choir, and in later years he performed with and occasionally directed the Little Chute Community Band. Bob's other interests included tennis, bowling, golf and fishing. bob is survived by his sister, Mary (Alois) Hooyman, Kaukauna; his brother, Jerome (Mary B.) Parman, LaCanto, Florida; nieces: Patricia (Douglas) Pawling, Iverness, Florida; Julie (Douglas) Stroess, Appleton; nephews: Thomas (Laurel) Hooyman, Deerfield, Illinois; Mark (Kathleen) Hooyman, Kaukauna. He is further survived by eight great-nieces and nephews, a great-great-nephew, seven cousins, and an aunt. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth (Koutnik) Parman; two infant brothers and a great-nephew. The funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, October 27, 2000 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 119 W. Seventh Street, Kaukauna with Fr. Robert Udulutsch, O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Friends may call directly at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established to benefit children for Catholic education.
Bob was always qick with a joke, a story and a smile. We will miss you dearly.
When I must leave you for a little while, please do not grieve and shed wild tears and hug your sorrow to you through the coming years; But start bravely with a gallant smile, and for my sake and in my name live and do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness on empty days, but fill each waking hour in useful ways. Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer and I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; and never, never be afraid to die, for I am waiting for you in the sky.
Bunny worked at the Thilmany Paper Mill as an Electrician until his retirement. He played saxophone in many bands over his lifetime. His High School Band Director at Kaukauna High School was in the John Phillip Sousa Band. Bunny was a member and Assistant Director of the Little Chute Community Band for many years.
    Your memory lives on.
