Obituary:
Arlene C. Kempen, 86, of Lakewood, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Woodland Village in Suring. She was born September 27, 1930 in Two Rivers, WI the daughter of Arnold and Pearl (Rhode) Meneau. She was united in marriage to Robert Kempen on January 21, 1961 in Rockford, IL. Arlene was a member of St. Mary of The Lake Catholic Church in Lakewood. She enjoyed knitting, bowling, fishing, working on the ambulance for 12 years, singing in the church choir, lecturing, Eucharistic minister, commentator and song leader.
Surviving Arlene are her daughter, Kathy (Randy) Clark of Laona; son, Bob (Linda) Sievert of Everett, WA; James of Menasha; step-son, Ronald (Cindy) of Kimberly; brothers, Clarence (Marlene) Meneau of Kelnersville; Dick (Peg) Meneau of Fence; sister-in-law, Judy Meneau of Two Rivers; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert; son, Robert Kempen; brothers, LeRoy Meneau and Donald Meneau.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lakewood with Father Philip Dinh-Van-Theip officiating. Burial will follow service at Lakewood Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to time of services at the church.
