Obituary:
Marie B. Anhalt, age 87, formerly of the town of Two Rivers, went home to Jesus, on Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at North Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish - Holy Redeemer Site, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O'Brien with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Marie was born Oct. 15, 1914 in Reedsville, daughter of the late John and Rose Pritzl Kocourek. On April 14, 1936 she married Joseph N. Anhalt in Reedsville. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1982. The couple had resided in Two Rivers since their marriage. Marie worked as a nursing assistant at Hamilton Memorial Home for several years. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Ladies of St. Mark's and loved to garden. Survivors include five sons and two daughters-in-law: Floyd Anhalt, Manitowoc; Jim and Carole Anhalt, rural Manitowoc; Dan and Mary Jo Anhalt, Cato; Richard Anhalt, Cato; Joseph (Tim) Anhalt, Manitowoc; two daughters and one son-in-law: Sister Regina Anhalt, New York City; Sandy and Tom Jarosh, Manitowoc; 14 grandchildren: Scott (Angie) Anhalt, Lori (Scottie) Engelbrecht, Renee (Dusty) Kasten, Bill (Melissa) Anhalt, Rachael and Chad Anhalt, Bobbi Jo (Mike) Meyer, Chelsea and Paul Anhalt and special friend, Jessica; Tammy (Steve) Vice, Christopher Jarosh, Lisa and Bob Keil; 22 great-grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters-in-law: Clarence Kocourek, Oregon; Harold and Laverne Kocourek, Kellnersville; John and Arlene Kocourek, Reedsville; Elroy and Joyce Kocourek, Kentucky; two sisters: Rosemary Meidl, rural Manitowoc; Betty Ebert, Manitowoc; three sisters-in-law: Peggy Kocourek, California; Evelyn Kocourek and Ethel, Kocourek, both of Manitowoc; also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Marie was also preceded in death by two great-grandchildren: Emily Robinson and Nola Meyer; four brothers: Roman, Leonard, Ralph and Lester Kocourek; one sister and three brothers-in-law: Sally and Charlie Vondrachek, Norbert Meidl and Jerry Ebert; and two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Kocourek and Mildred Kocourek. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002 at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish - Holy Redeemer Site, Two Rivers, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Klein and Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, is assisting the Anhalt family with funeral arrangements. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at North Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, for the care and compassion given to Marie during the time she spent there. -

Floyd G. Anhalt, age 65, of 1321 E. Hwy. 310, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, Aug. 1, 2002 at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center Green Bay. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday Aug 6, 2002 at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish - Holy Redeemer Site, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O'Brien with military rites following the Mass accorded by the Two Rivers VFW and American Legion posts. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Floyd was born Sept. 2, 1936, son of the late Joseph and Marie Kocourek Anhalt. He was in the United States Army, serving in Korean. Floyd was a lifelong farmer. He was an active member of St. Mark's Catholic Church and served as an usher. Floyd was an avid lover of dogs and always had several of his faithful companions with him. Survivors include four brothers and two sisters-in-law: Jim and Carole Anhalt, rural Manitowoc; Dan and Mary Jo Anhalt, Cato; Richard Anhalt, Cato; Joseph "Tim" Anhalt, Manitowoc; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Sister Regina Anhalt, New York City; Sandy and Tom Jarosh, Manitowoc; 14 nieces and nephews: Scott (Angie) Anhalt, Lori (Scottie) Engelbrecht, Renee (Dusty) Kasten, Bill (Melissa) Anhalt, Rachael and Chad Anhalt, Bobbi Jo (Mike) Meyer, Chelsea F Anhalt, Paul Anhalt and special friend Jessica, Tammy (Steve) Vice, Christopher Jarosh Lisa and Bob Keil; 22 great-nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends also survive.
