    Mildred E. Peters, 89, Freedom, passed away Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born Feb. 28, 1919, in the Town of Freedom to August and Freida (Bolte) Springstroh. She married Gilbert Peters on Aug. 17, 1938, and he preceded her in death in 1990. Millie was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Freedom, and the ladies aide at church. She loved sewing, gardening and flowers.
    Survivors include her children, Ronald (Karen) Peters, Appleton; Richard (Carole) Peters, Waupaca and Kenneth Peters, Appleton. She is further survived by her six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Earl (Elaine) Springstroh, Appleton and a sister-in-law, Marvelin (Wilbert) Sprinstroh, Appleton.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert; sisters, Doris Williamson and Marion Stegert.
    Funeral services for Mildred will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (N2749 French Road) in Freedom with the Rev. Tim Glende officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Monday evening at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at the church on Tuesday an hour before the service.

    Peters, Richard C. "Dick" On Monday, May 25, 2015, Dick was gathered in Jesus' loving arms and taken home. He was born on June 14, 1944 in Appleton, WI to the late Gilbert and Mildred (Springstroh) Peters. Dick attended St. Peter Lutheran Grade School and Freedom High School. On August 29, 1964, he married Carole Springstroh.
    Dick was employed at Van Rossum Masonry, Center Valley Coop, Liethen Feeds, CW Transport, Yellow Transport, Churchill Truck Lines, Preston Trucking, Crouse Transport, Have Group Will Travel Tours, Kobussen, and Fox Valley Technical College. He enjoyed travel, Canada fishing and his family and friends.
    Survivors include his wife and life partner Carole, Waupaca; daughters: Lisa (Steve) Wendt and their children Courtney and Heather, Seymour; and Ruth (Bill) Snitselaar and their children Will and Grace, Seattle, WA; and son: Richard J. (Therese) Peters and their daughters Evelyn and Audrey, Darboy. Dick is further survived by brother: Ronald (Karen) Peters and their family, Dan Peters, Dawn Peters and Diane (Eric) Zibble and their sons: Jake and Ryan; and brother Ken Peters.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 29 at St. Peter Lutheran Church (N2749 French Rd), Freedom, with Rev. Tim Glende officiating. Friends may visit 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, May 28 at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel and directly at that the church on Friday, May 29 from 9 am until the time of service. Interment will be in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.
    Memorials may be directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
