    Vanderheyden, Vernon F.Vernon F. Vanderheyden, 88, Green Bay, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 200 6, at a local nursing home after a long illness. Born in Green Bay, Mar ch 17, 1917, he is the son of the late Hiram and Louise (Ziets) Vanderheyd en. He married the former Marie C. Smits, Feb. 15, 1936, and she preced ed him in death June 28, 1988. Vernon worked for Procter & Gamble for 43 y ears until his retirement. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Chur ch and the Kiwanis. Vernon enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to his cott age. He was very proud of his family and loved all of his times spent wi th them.Vernon is survived by his two daughters, Donna Rickard, Green Bay; Diane a nd Jim Marcelle, Abrams; four grandchildren, Marcia (Bill) Kruger and the ir daughter, Siobhan, Jeff (Lori) Butry and their children, Adam and Nicol e, Marlo (Shawn) Lewis and their children, Alisa, Erin, and Kayla, and Ke nt (Kathy) Marcelle; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Doris Vanderhey den, Green Bay; nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; son-in-law, Steph en Rickard; granddaughter, Lisa Louise Butry; and five sisters and one bro ther.Visitation at MALCORE Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, Mon day from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral.     Obituary:
    Donald "Don" Vanderheyden, 89, Green Bay, died peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 30, 1927, in Green Bay, to Hiram and Louisa (Zietz) Vanderheyden.
    Don served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1944 through 1948 and had been stationed in Asia. On August 15, 1948, he went on a blind date with Doris John. On February 18, 1950, Don got to marry the love of his life, Doris, at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Don worked for Proctor and Gamble from 1949 until he retired as an Employee Services Manager in 1988. He was a charter member of St Jude Catholic Church and currently belonged to St. Matthew Catholic Church. Don volunteered with The Concerned Hearts Club, with Unity Hospice, and with the YMCA.
    Don and Doris enjoyed their cottage on Surprise Lake and vacationing in Arizona for 17 years. They also loved their travels to Jamaica. He enjoyed putzing around, building rock walls, playing bocce ball, shafskopf, and bingo. Don especially enjoyed his trip with the Honor Flight in 2013.
    Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Joe Hilgers, Black Creek; Sammie and Jim McDonald, Two Rivers, Sally Cubitt, Green Bay; Stacy and Gary O'Dell, New Franken; his grandchildren, Molly (Brad) Dunlap, James (Erin) McDonald, Jake (fiancé Zitsi Mirakhur) McDonald, Cassie McDonald, Brady (special friend Emily Blaney) Cubitt; his step-grandchildren, Joe (special friend Jenny Gill) Hilgers, Jr., Travis (Andrea) Hilgers; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Gavin, and Emi McDonald, Nora and Max Dunlap; his step-great-grandchildren, Ashlei, Alethia, Paige, Aspen and Wyatt Hilgers; a brother-in-law, Richard (Betty) John; many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
    Don was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; a son-in-law, Tom Cubitt; seven brothers and sisters, Eva (Joe) Kapla, Lucille (Ralph) Vandertie, Violet (Clarence) Demmer, Lorraine (David) DeVetter, Irene "DeDe" Vanderheyden, Sonny (Iva) Vanderheyden, and Vernon (Marie) Vanderheyden
    Friends may call as St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St, from 9-11:00 a.m., Wednesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Robert Kabat officiating, the service will be concluded with full military honors. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.     Ronald "Ron" L. Vanderheyden, 71, Green Bay, was called to eternal life, Sunday, February 3, 2013, after a short battle with stomach cancer. Born in Green Bay, February 20, 1941, he is the son of the late Ralph and Iva (Schoen) Vanderheyden. Ron served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force stationed in France. He married the former Barbara Kaye, June 27, 1965, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Ron worked at H.C. Pranges which ultimately became Pranges Business Interiors. He loved fishing, hunting, times spent up at the cottage in Pembine, and bowling on Tuesday and Thursday with his senior bowling league. Ron's life was his family. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Brewer fan. Ron loved the church he grew up in, First Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he served as an Elder and Usher.
    He is survived by his wife, Barbara; 3 sons, Derek Vanderheyden, and his children, Alex, Mikaeyla, Clara, and Aurora, Jacksonville, FL, Darren (Angela) Vanderheyden and their children, Nolan and Hannah, of De Pere, and Ronald M. Vanderheyden of Green Bay; sister, Janice (Cliff) Fonder of Lakewood; 2 brothers, Gary (Audrey) Vanderheyden of Eagle River, and Robert (Julie) Vanderheyden of Morris, IL; sister-in-law, Linda Vanderheyden of Green Bay; canine companion, Molson; many other relatives and friends.
    Ron is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Daniel Vanderheyden; niece, Debra Maietta; and canine companion, Shadow.
    Visitation at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 743 S. Monroe Ave., Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Paul Schleis officiating.
