Dorothy M. MuellerDorothy M. Mueller, nee Lauters, 91, of West Bend, passed away on Sunda y, May 4, 2003 at the Samaritan Health Center.She was born on April 12, 1912 in Fredonia to the late William and There sa (nee Freireisen) Lauters, and married Elmer Mueller on Oct. 1, 19 30 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Fredonia.After their marriage they settled in West Bend, and Dorothy was employ ed at Amity Leather Products for more than 26 years, retiring in 1976. Elmer passed away in 1981.She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Christian Mother s, Apostolate of Suffering, Catholic Foresters of America, Amity 25-Year C lub and the Gold Star Mothers.Survivors include two nieces, Virginia (John) Frei of Onalaska and Verna ( Wayne) Peterson of Neenah; a nephew, Vincent (Carlyn) Straus of Oshkos h; a brother-in-law, Arthur Mueller of West Bend; along with many nieces a nd nephews from Elmer’s side of the family, other relatives and friends.Preceding her in death were a son, Jerome; a sister, Leona Adams; and a br other, Arthur Lauters.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 7 at 7 p.m. at S t. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend.Rev. Michael Petersen will be the celebrant, and burial will be at 10 a. m. Thursday in Holy Angels Cemetery, West Bend.Visitation at the church only will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the ti me of Mass.Memorials to St. Frances Cabrini Church Building Fund are appreciated.The Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service, West Bend, is assisting t he family.
