    Vander Zanden, John F., Neena h,Age 77, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 17, 2003 at Appleton Medic al Center. He was born January 2, 1926 in Wrightstown, Wisconsin, son of t he late John and Nellie Vander Zanden. He married Marion Radey on Novemb er 13, 1948 in Green Bay. John was a Neenah resident for 46 years. He w as a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. John and Marion celebrat ed 54 years of marriage. He was formerly employed as a truck driver for Ga teway Transportation, and then in maintenance for 8 years at Associated Ba nk in Neenah. John enjoyed spending time at his cottage at Thunder Lak e. He also enjoyed golfing, his mini bike, and auto racing. Survivors incl ude his wife Marion, two daughters, Julie (Paul) Buechner, Neenah, Jody Ah rens and her special friend Dave Williams, Appleton, four grandchildren: B rian and Kelly Kitzerow, Christopher Montour, and Brett Ahrens; a son-in-l aw, Jeff Montour, his wife Jackie and their children, Tyler, Chelsea, a nd Emily, and a sister, Rose Marie Henkel, Sheboygan. He was preceded in d eath by a daughter, Sandy, and two brothers, Joe and Bud. Funeral servic es will be held Monday, July 21, 2003 at 11:00 am at St. Gabriel Cathol ic Church with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Interment will be in St. Mar garet’s Cemetery with military rites at the cemetery. Family and friends m ay call on Sunday at Neenah’s Westgor Funeral Home from 4 to 8:00 pm, wi th a prayer service at 7:00 pm; and again on Monday at the church from 10: 00 am until the time of service.     Obituary:
    Rose Marie Henkel, 82, Sheboygan, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, Jan. 31, 2012, at Terrace Estates.
    She was born Feb. 14, 1929, in Wrightstown, Wis., to John and Nellie (Schreurs) VanderZanden.
    Rose was a graduate of Wrightstown High School, Class of 1946. She was formerly married to Ignatius Klister and they made their home in Green Bay and later Plymouth.
    On Oct. 16, 1964, Rose and William H. Henkel were united in marriage. After retirement the couple wintered in Leesburg, Fla. Bill preceded her in death on July 22, 1998.
    For many years Rose was employed as an administrative secretary at General Box Co. until her retirement.
    Rose attended church at St. Dominic Catholic Church. She thoroughly enjoyed playing bingo with her group of friends as well as playing cards. She loved her cats and driving her Cadillacs.
    Rose is survived by her sisters-in-law, Hilde VanderZanden, Green Bay; Eileen VanderZanden, De Pere; and Shirley Eernisse, Sheboygan; a stepson, James (Sandra) Henkel, Northern Wisconsin; her step-grandsons, Brian and Corby Henkel; many nieces, nephews; and her neighbors and dear friends, Dave and Judy DuMez.
    In addition to her husband, Bill, Rose was preceded in death by three brothers, Francis "Bud", Joseph, and John (Marion) VanderZanden; her stepson, William Henkel, Jr. and his wife, Sandra; and her very dear friend, Stan Kichefski.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Ballhorn Chapels. The Rev. Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of St. Dominic Catholic Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Entombment will take place in the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Nicolet Memorial Gardens in Green Bay, Wis.
