    Obituary:
    Mary Rose Schwalenberg, age 84, of Fort Atkinson and formerly of Sheboygan, died Friday, June 4, 2004, at the Fairhaven Retirement Community in Whitewater, Wis.
    Mary was born in Hilbert, Wis. on Nov. 14, 1919, the daughter of Charles and Mabel Ann (Beil) Genske. Mary attended Hilbert Elementary Schools and graduated from Hilbert High School.
    She married Vernon H. Schwalenberg on Aug. 28, 1940, in Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul, Wis. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1978. Mary was first and foremost a full time homemaker to her family. However, she had worked at the Spiegel Credit Office and H.C. Prange Co., both in Sheboygan.
    Mary was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson and formerly a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church of Sheboygan. She was a member of the Trinity Senior Choir, Trinity Ladies Auxiliary, Trinity Visitors Committee, president of the German Radio Broadcast, Riverdale Ladies 9 Hole Golf Association and the Lakeshore Bowling Association.
    Mary was further preceded in death by her parents; a son, Craig Ray Schwalenberg on Feb. 16, 1968; three brothers, Carl, Leroy, and Merlin "Red" Genske; a sister, Pearl (Genske) Deja; an infant brother, Eugene Genske; and an infant sister, Geraldine Genske.
    Surviving are her sons, Terrance W. (Ruth) Schwalenberg of Fort Atkinson and DeWayne G. (Patty) Schwalenberg of Anchorage, Alaska; her grandchildren, David D. Schwalenberg of Baltimore, Md., Andrew E. (Christy) Schwalenberg of Round Rock, Texas, and Sadie Manor Schwalenberg, Katie Manor Schwalenberg, and Adam Manor Schwalenberg, all of Anchorage; a great-grandchild, Cassidy Anne Schwalenberg of Round Rock; special family members, Pastor Paul and Dawn Fanning and Jay of Kaukauna; brothers and sisters, Russell (Joyce) Genske, DeWayne (Mary) Genske, Rayfield (Diane) Genske, and Larry (Ginny) Genske, all of Sheboygan, Elaine (Ray) Schumann of Kohler, Donna (Gene) Pientowski of Sheboygan, and Shelby Wendt of Sheboygan; sister-in-laws, Sue Genske of Cleveland, and nieces and nephews too numerous to list.
    Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 11, 2004, at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson.
    Friends may call after 5 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home until the time of services.
    Services will also be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapel, 1201 N. Eighth St., Sheboygan.
    Friends may call after 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapel until the time of services. Entombment will follow the services on Saturday at Lutheran Cemetery, Sheboygan.
    Those wishing to express their sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson or Lakeside Lutheran High School, Lake Mills, Wis.
    The Nitardy Funeral Home, 1008 Madison Ave., Fort Atkinson, is assisting the family.
