    Kamps, William G.William G. Kamps, age 76, of Beaver Dam, died on March 21, 2004 at the U. S. Hospital in Madison. Bill was born on July 11, 1927 in Appleton to Gebh ardt and Margaret (nee Maurer) Kamps. He was married to Alice E. Mull en on September 2, 1950 in Appleton.Bill is survived by his wife, Alice, Beaver Dam; a daughter, Mary (Donal d) Birmingham, Green Bay; four sons: Paul (Alison) Kamps, Oregon, WI; Jam es Kamps, Fond du Lac; Michael (Deb) Kamps, Beaver Dam; Peter (Giniene) Ka mps, Hortonville, WI; three sisters: Elizabeth (Victor) Schmidt, Sun Prair ie; Ruth Stier, Menasha; Ethel O'Brien, Appleton; a brother, John (Mary) K amps, Clearwater, FL; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces, n ephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Joseph; three brot hers and two sisters.Bill graduated from Appleton High School in 1945 and attended college at S t. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. Bill started his career in t he paper industry with Marathon/American Can and progressed through vario us marketing assignments that took the family to Neenah, WI., Cincinnati a nd New York City. In 1972, Bill and Joe Lawlor Sr founded K&L Services, In c., a paper converting company located in Beaver Dam. Bill enjoyed golfin g, playing bridge, sheepshead, gin and cribbage. He was a member of St. Pe ter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam; Elks Club, Knights of Columbus and O ld Hickory Golf Club.A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 11 a. m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam with Rev. Fr. William K ey officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 25, 2004 from 9:30 a. m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bea ver Dam. Burial of Bill's cremains will take place at St. Joseph Cathol ic Cemetery in Appleton. Memorials may be directed to United Catholic Pari sh in Beaver Dam.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jamison Harke r, Dr. Timothy Kamp and the staff at U.W. Hospital for their Compassion a nd caring during Bill's illness. A special thank you to Dr. Sharon Haase f or her years of care for Bill
