Pickens, Douglas J.Douglas J. Pickens, 69, Kaukauna, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at t he VA hospital in Milwaukee. He was born Sept. 15, 1935, in Kaukauna, s on of the late Ashley and Marie (Ristau) Pickens. Doug served his count ry in the U.S. Army. He worked at Kaukauna Cheese and resided in the ar ea his entire life.Survivors include a sister, Bev Spaay, Kimberly; a brother, Bruce (Pam) Ri stau, Prairie du Sac; a special nephew, David Kraus II, Arizona; and numer ous other nieces and nephews. He is further survived by two special friend s, Neil Geiger and Tom Bay, both of Kaukauna.Doug was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean, Pat and Shirley.It was Doug's wish to be cremated. His ashes will be interred in Trinity E v. Lutheran Cemetery, Kaukauna in Spring. Expressions of sympathy may be d irected to Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, Wis.
