    Obituary:
    John Anholzer, 53, died at tho homo of his son George Anholzer, 814 W. Commercial-st, "Wednesday afternoon after an illness of two davs. Mr. An holzer was taken ill Monday evening when ho was walking on E. College ave. Born in Germany, July 29, 1874 Mr. Anholzer came to Appleton when he was a child and lived here since that time. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. His wife died nine weeks ago. Surviving are three sons: George, Elmer and Raymond of Appleton; two daughters, Irene and Ethel of Apple ton; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Sigl of Appleton, Mrs. Richard Hildebrandt of Brokaw, and Mrs. Francis Mittermiller of Marshfield: one brother, Ed ward Anholzer of Eureka, Calif.; and three grandchildren. The body was taken to Mr. Anholzer er's home at 1326 E. Candee-st, Thursday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon from tho home with the Rev. H. E. Peabody of the First Congregational church in charge. Burial will be in the vault at Riverside cemetery.

    Phyllis Goehler, age 90, passed away peacefully at the Appleton Health Care Center on Thursday evening, October 17, 2013. Phyllis was born in Appleton on July 23, 1923, daughter of the late Elmer and Mary (Dolven) Anholzer. She was a graduate of the Appleton High School, and on July 17, 1946 married Michael Goehler; he preceded her in death. Phyllis was a lifelong Appleton resident who was a loving wife and mother, an incredible baker and cook, and loved to go for Sunday drives. She will be remembered by all for Saturday morning fresh-baked bread, her wonderful cookie recipes, and for her volunteering at the Community Blood Center for several years following the death of her husband.
    Phyllis is survived by three loving children: Jim (Barb) Goehler of Menasha; Tony (Val) Goehler of Oshkosh; and Mary Jo "Jo" (Ross) LeMoine of Appleton; her grandchildren: Bryan (Kristen) Goehler of Woodbury, Minnesota; Sara (Adam) Clark of Sherwood; Karly (Bill) Schwalbach of Oshkosh; Kristen Goehler of Oshkosh; Michael (Sarah) LeMoine of Appleton; and Dana LeMoine of Minneapolis; six great-grandchildren: Anika and Andrew Goehler of Minnesota; Morgan Schwalbach of Oshkosh; Ashton and Gavin Clark of Sherwood; and William "Will" LeMoine of Appleton; a sister: Helen (Robert) Young of Appleton; a brother: John Anholzer of Kimberly and his special friend Betty; three sisters-in-law: Helen Anholzer of Kimberly; June Bergman of Appleton; and Ione Loughrin; and a brother-in-law: Jerold (Mary) Goehler of Appleton. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Michael, an infant sister Rita, brothers Robert Anholzer and William (Della) Anholzer, and in-laws: Bernice (Clarence) Williams, Marie (Sam) Achtenberg, Wally Bergman, (Carl) Bergman, and Cyril Loughrin.
    The funeral liturgy for Phyllis will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 21, 2013, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 W. Lawrence Street in Appleton, with Fr. James Leary, OFM Cap. officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 1592 Oneida Street in Menasha on Sunday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again Monday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.     Robert Elmer "Cooney" Anholzer, age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2009. He was born in Appleton on April 23, 1925, the son of the late Elmer Anholzer and Mary (Grosser) Anholzer Dolven. At the end of his senior year of high school, Bob was drafted in the Navy. He served in two theatres during World War II and was present during the signing of the treaty finalizing the surrender of Japan. After his honorable service, he married his loving wife, Helen De Leeuw, in Kimberly at Holy Name Catholic Church. Bob enjoyed fishing, gardening, tending to his beautiful flower beds and spending time with family at their cottage on Lake Metonga. Bob worked for Banta Corporation for 20 years until his retirement in April of 1987. Bob loved volunteering with House of Peace for numerous years delivering gifts for children that had been collected from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton and Holy Spirit Parish in Kimberly.
    Bob is lovingly survived by his wife, Helen Anholzer of Kimberly; children: Fr. Dan Anholzer OFM CAP, Saginaw, Michigan; Tom Anholzer and his special friend, Linda Vaughan, Hortonville; Gary (Mary) Anholzer, Quinney; Karen (Fred) Stumpf, Darboy; Frida (Lee) Adrian, Darboy; grandchildren: Danielle (Kevin) Santry, Cole Anholzer and his fiancee, Savannah Bradley, Olivia, Helena and Eric Stumpf, Jason, Vanessa and her fiance, Brandon Bennett and Marissa Adrian; great-grandson, Mason Santry; brother, John Anholzer; sisters: Phyllis Goehler, Helen (Bob) Young; brother-in-law, Andrew "Bud" De Leeuw Jr; sisters-in-law: Katie Van Beek, Mary Deeg, Margaret Willis, Pat (Jim) Vandehey, Audrey Hopfensperger and numerous nieces, nephews and his special dog, Cha-cha.

Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with a prayer service being held at 7 p.m. and visitation also held again on Tuesday at Holy Spirit Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

    Anholzer, William Kimberly On March 29, 2002 Bill received his eternal reward following a short, valiant battle with leukemia. He was born September 16, 1926 in Appleton to Mary (Grosser) and Elmer Anholzer, and died at his daughter's home in North Carolina surrounded by family.
    Bill was preceded in death by his wife and soul-mate, Della (Lancour) who died in October 1975. He was a loving father to Kathy (Scott) Hickinbotham, Clemmons, North Carolina; David (Cindy) Anholzer, Clayton, North Carolina; Mike (and special friend Nancy) Anholzer, Kimberly; Mary Kay (Dan) Rath, Clemmons, North Carolina; and Jim (Ann) Anholzer, Combined Locks.
    Most special were his grandchildren: Christine, Bill and Mike Ristow, Bill and Dana Anholzer, Erika Anholzer, Emily, Katie and Chelsea Rath, and Ben, Luke and Maria Anholzer. He was also a proud great-grandpa to Kelsey Celsor and Dane Anholzer.
    He was a loving brother to Phyllis (Mike) Goehler and Helen (Bob) Young, both of Appleton; and John (Joanne) Anholzer and Bob (Helen) Anholzer, both of Kimberly. He is further survived by his in-laws: Gene (Val) Lancour, Rita (Emil) Gosse, Dick (Lee) Lancour, Cookie (Eugene) Haessley, Tom (MaryAnn) Lancour, Ron (Kenetra) Lancour, Osa (Ed) Herreid, and Mary Ann Nordstrom.
    He will also be missed by his friends at the St. Joe's Food Pantry where he spent several wonderful years helping others.
    Bill served In the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. He then worked at Valley Iron Works in Appleton, followed by 27 years in the bindery in George Banta Company,-Menasha until his retirement in 1988.
    There will be a Mass offered at Bill's home parish, Holy Name Church, 620 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6. In place of a formal visitation, following the Mass luncheon family and friends are invited to gather at Bill's former home to celebrate his life.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fr. Dan Anholzer, for his church building fund at St. Joseph's Church, 906 N. 6th St., Saginaw, MI 48601.
    "Dad will be missed very much by family and friends, but we are certain he is enjoying his reward in heaven with Mom and his Creator. We pray that some day we will all be together again in heaven where we will all go fishing, play golf and laugh while playing cards. Dad, you are in our hearts always."

    Fr. Daniel Anholzer, 58, Saginaw, Mich., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 13, 2010. He was born in Appleton, Wis., on July 18, 1951, the son of Helen (DeLeeuw) Anholzer and the late Robert E. Anholzer.
    Capuchin Friar Daniel Anholzer, Pastor of St. Joseph Parish, Saginaw, was in the order for 40 years. He served as Provincial Minister of the Capuchin Order of St. Joseph, 2002-2008. Under Father Dan's leadership as Provincial Minister, lay employee formation programs were created to further employee's understanding of the Capuchin charism. He also led the province in the 18 month celebration of the 150th anniversary of the first permanent Capuchin foundation in North America and the establishment of the Province of St. Joseph. He served as president of the North American Pacific Capuchin conference (NAPCC) which represents the provinces of the U.S., Australia, Canada and Guam.
    Father Dan attended St. Lawrence Seminary, a Capuchin high school from 1965 to 1969. He entered the order upon his graduation from high school. In 1975, Father Dan took a year off from studies to live and work in Nicaragua, later returning for this diaconate ordination at Bocana de Palguas. After ordination, he continued serving in Nicaragua, ministering several years, some during the Nicaraguan civil war. He returned to the U.S. in 1983 and spent a year in Milwaukee, serving the House of Peace. He then arrived in Saginaw at St. Joseph "Rainbow Parish" in 1984, where he ministered until his appointment as Provincial Minister in 2002.
    When Father Dan celebrated his Silver Jubilee in 1995, he stated, "I am so thankful for my Capuchin vocation. I have become who I am thanks to my Capuchin brothers and mentors. I never would have had all the ethnic and cultural experiences I have had throughout these years life experiences which have made me more human, whole, and complete."
    He is lovingly survived by his mother, Helen Anholzer, Kimberly, Wis.; his brothers and sister, Thomas Anholzer and his special friend, Linda Vaughn, Hortonville, Wis.; Gary (Mary) Anholzer, Quinney, Wis.; and Karen (Fred) Stumpf, Darboy, Wis.; his Nicaraguan sister, Frida (Lee) Adrian; also his nieces and nephews, Kevin and Danielle Santry and their son, Mason; Cole Anholzer and his fiancee, Savannah Bradley; Olivia, Helena and Eric Stumpf; Jason, Marissa and Vanessa Adrian and her fiance, Brandon Bennett; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is further survived by his Capuchin Brothers and his wonderful family of St. Joseph's Parish in Saginaw.
    His father, Robert Anholzer, preceded him in death.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 308 County Road W in Mount Calvary, Wis. The Rev. Mark Joseph Costello OFM CAP will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Friary Cemetery in Mount Calvary.
    Family and friends may call at the church Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

    Michael L. Anholzer (Mike), 60, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 24, 2012, in Prescott, AZ. He was born on August 2, 1951, to John and the late Joan (Resch) Anholzer. He was a 1969 graduate of Kimberly High School. Mike served in the U.S. Army from March 1971 to November 1972, the majority of that time in Viet Nam. He held various jobs over the years and spent much of the last 18 years in Arizona and Nevada. He enjoyed music, hiking, warm weather, bike riding, playing cards and dice, volunteering and helping others.
    Mike is survived by his dad, John Anholzer; sisters, Deb (Rick) Fischer and Linda Milheiser; a brother, Steve (Laura) Anholzer; nieces, Tara Eastwood, Erin (Craig)Keil, Heather (Lee) Bogard and Nicole Milheiser; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Joan (Resch) Anholzer; his beloved dogs, Max and Panda; grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
    Mike will be buried at the veterans' cemetery in King, Wisconsin at a later date.
    As we go through the daily routines of our lives, may we take an occasional look behind us with gratitude and appreciation for the selfless service provided by our veterans. May we often express our love and appreciation for the freedom we enjoy, that is a direct result of their love for us. In this way, we ensure their immortality in our hearts and in the hearts of our children.

    Steven J. "Fuzz" Anholzer, Freedom, age 57, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born in Kaukauna on August 30, 1958 to John and the late Joan (Resch) Anholzer. Steve graduated from Kimberly High School in 1976. He married Laura Wuyts on June 28, 1997 in Appleton. Steve worked at New Page for 32 years and APPVION for the past 3 years. He enjoyed motorcycling, camping at Berry Lake, racing and gathering with family and friends.
    Steve is survived by his wife, Laura; her step son Robert (Amanda) Franklin of Springfield, TN; two step grandchildren, Cameron and Caden Franklin; father John (friend Betty Schultz) Anholzer of Kimberly; sisters: Deb (Rick) Fischer of Greenville and Linda Milheiser of Kimberly; mother-in-law Aureta Wuyts of Kaukauna; sisters-in-law: Kathy (Doug) Krueger of Berry Lake; and Sally Wuyts of Kaukauna. He was very close to his nieces and nephews: Tara Eastwood (Keith Wenzel) of Menasha; Erin (Craig) Keil of Appleton; Heather (Lee) Bogard, Nichole (friend Abdullah Faqih) Milheiser, Dr. Dawn (Tom) Hillman, Major Robert (Chandra) Krueger, Raenee (Jamie) Delgado, Michelle (Jay) Nichols and Joseph (fiancee April Pillar) Wuyts. Steve is further survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    Visitation will be held Monday January 18, 2016 at PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (2300 E. Wisconsin Ave. Kaukauna) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral at 11:00 a.m. The Rev.     William J. Ristow, 34, Neenah, formerly of Crivitz, passed away on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010. He was born on June 25, 1976, in Appleton, the son of John and Kathleen (Anholzer) Ristow. Bill loved the outdoors, white water rafting, fishing, but most of all he adored his children.
    He is survived by his children, Coltin and Vanessa and their mother Trista Miller; mother, Kathy (Scott) Hickinbotham, Clemmons, North Carolina; father, John (Deb) Ristow, Crivitz; sister, Christine (Brian) Wepfer, Neenah; brother, Michael Ristow, Maui, Hawaii; stepsisters and brothers, Molly (Damian) Pennings, Andy Hickinbotham and Jennifer (Joel) Schampers; Chad (Tracy) Hensen and Jessica Hensen; nieces and nephews, Kelsey, Matthew, Megan, Elana, Logan and Kendra. Bill is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth and Alvin Ristow; William and Della Anholzer; and his nephew, Trevor Ristow.
    The memorial service for Bill will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. Rev. Dick Schaefer will be officiating. A time of visitation and support will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established for his children.
