    Arnold H. Kahler 1520 N. Superior St. Age 76, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday following a five year illness. He was born August 26, 1896 in the Town of Center, where he owned and operated the White Clover Cheese Factory until moving to Appleton in 1929 where he was employed with the United States Post Office until his retirement in 1961. He was a member of the Emanuel United Methodist Church, the American Legion Post No. 38, having been a World War I army veteran, the National Postal Workers Union, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Survivors are his wife, Edna Uhlenbrauck Kahler. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. April 5. 1971. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Allen (Arlene) Kline, Appleton: Mrs. John R. (Germaine) Ethridge. Pasadena. California; three brothers, Ernest, Marion, Ind.; Alvin. Rt. 2. Black Creek; Elmer. Appleton; a sister, Mrs. Ray (Esther) Schmidt; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday from the Wichmann Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell F. Rex officiating. Entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 3 until 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. Friday until the hour of service. A memorial fund has been established. The American Legion visitation will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

    Arlene Adelia Kline, 89, Appleton, passed away on Tuesday November 13, 2012 at ThedaClark Medical Center. Arlene was born on September 6, 1923 in Center, WI to Arnold and Edna (Uhlenbrauck) Kahler. She was a 1941 graduate of Appleton High School. On June 19, 1943 she married Allen R. Kline and they enjoyed over 58 years together. Allen preceded her in death on September 24, 2001.
    She was a proud founding member of the Chaminade Chorus, sang in the Faith Lutheran Choir, the Neenah Y Not Choir and the Heritage Choir. She also enjoyed playing piano for friends at The Heritage. She loved playing cards and her daily swim at the Y. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the church's Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 38, Ladies Auxiliary.
    She will be sadly missed by four children: Darlene (Paul) Given, Hartford, and their two children, Carol (Paul) Kutella and Rebecca Greene; Richard Kline, Menasha, and his two children, Connie (Troy) Hoehne and Chris Kline; Joan (Patrick) Nee, La Crosse, and their two children, Brendan and Devin Nee; and Ted (Robin) Kline, Minneapolis, and their son, Jay (Christian) Kline. Arlene was blessed with 6 great grandchildren: Trevor, Tori, and Carter Hoehne; Ben and Annika Kutella; and Zoe Kline. Arlene will be remembered by her sister Germaine Ethridge, Pasadena and her son Geoffrey as well as other relatives and friends.
    Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church, 601 E. Glendale Avenue on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 9:30-11:00 am. Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 at the church with Rev. James Wiebel officiating. Burial at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Online condolences may be expressed at www.valleyfh.com.

    Orlin Kahler, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was born on April 25, 1935 in the town of Center, son of the late Alvin and Lena (Moeller) Kahler. Orlie graduated from Shiocton High School in 1953 and became a Certified Machinist. He worked at American National Can until his retirement at age 61. Orlie was a proud veteran and served in the 32nd Division Army National Guard from 1952 until 1963 as Sergeant First Class.
    Orlie loved to fish, hunt, and go bowling. His biggest accomplishments included a 30-inch walleye, an 11-point buck, and he rolled a 298 game! He was a member of the military honor guard and helped to provide honors at funerals as well as many other many military events. He also enjoyed gardening, riding his bicycle, playing cards, building ice fishing shanties, and building sturgeon spears which he sold. Orlie was also a longtime and faithful member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Neenah. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, a great dad, and a fun grandpa.
    Orlie married Carol Jean Popp, and the good Lord blessed them with fifty-eight years together and three daughters. Orlie is survived by two daughters: Amie (Dan) Klemp-Saar of Mukwonago and Julie (Marc) Dimino of Madison. His grandchildren are Christine (Brian) Plamann of Elkhart Lake; Katie (Kyle) Zeamer of Appleton; and Steven, Christopher, and Timothy Dimino, all of Madison; and Rachel and Hannah Klemp of Mukwonago. Orlie also has two sisters: Violet (Delmar) Sawall and Ione (Vincent) Berg of Appleton; and a brother: Kenneth (Rose) Kahler.
    Orlie was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Lynn Geiger, a grandson Peter Dimino, a son-in-law Douglas Klemp, brothers Floyd Kahler and Donald Kahler, and a sister Carol Kahler.
    The Christian Funeral Service for Orlie will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at TRINTIY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 407 Oak Street in Neenah, with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. Full military honors will follow the worship service. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the hour of the service.     On July 15, Orlie was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. We are grateful to Dr. Conkright of Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, Dr. Swanson, and the nursing staff at 5-South at Theda Care - Neenah who helped make Dad's final days more peaceful.
    Orlie found comfort believing in Jesus as his Savior, and that death is only the passage to eternal life in heaven.

    Kenneth R. Kahler, 78, of Center Valley, passed away early Monday morning, March 13, 2017, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. He was born August 17, 1938, son of the late Alvin and Lena (Moeller) Kahler. On November 18, 1961, he was united in marriage to his life-long partner and friend Rose Niec.
    Ken farmed in Center Valley from 1977 to 1989, and was a dairy farmer throughout his life. He also was employed with Center Valley Co-op, other small short time jobs and then worked at Don's Quality Market part-time as a baggage carry out for 6 to 7 years.
    He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, Town of Center, and a volunteer member of the Town of Center Fire Department.
    Ken is survived by his wife, Rose; one son, Rodney (fiancée Kay) Kahler, Black Creek; three grandsons: Jon (fiancée Ashley) Kahler, Ryan Kahler, and Aaron Kahler; one great-granddaughter, Aubrey; step-grandson Vinnie; step great-grandchildren: Dustan and Logan; two sisters: Ione (Vincent) Berg, Appleton; Violet (Delmar) Sawall, Appleton; three sisters-in-law: Grace, Carol, and Jean Kahler; Roses's family: Ed Jr. Niec, Robert (Barb) Niec, Doris Jansen, Ervin Niec, Don (Marie) Niec, Larry (Linda) Niec, David Niec, Betty (Joe) Rosera, Bonnie (Darrell) Rose, Mike (Sue) Niec and Randy (Tammy) Niec; special family friend, Keith Rahmlow.

    Kahler, Carol June - Carol was called to her heavenly home on April 21, 2007, following a long battle with cancer. She was born June 2, 1942, in the Town of Center, the daughter of the late Alvin and Lena Kahler. Carol was baptized and confirmed at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Town of Center. She graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in 1960, and then worked for Kimberly-Clark for 25 years. Carol received a medical retirement and spent the past 20 years at Park View Health Center. She often talked about the kind, loving and caring friends and staff that she had at Park View who made her feel so very much at home. Carol enjoyed crocheting, playing her keyboard and listening to music.
    Carol is survived by her brothers: Orlin (Carol) Kahler, Neenah and Kenneth (Rose) Kahler, Nichols; sisters: Ione (Vincent) Berg, Appleton and Violet (Delmar) Sawall, Appleton; sisters-in-law: Grace Kahler, Shelby Twp., Michigan and Jean Kahler, Kimberly. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
    Carol was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Floyd and Donald Kahler.
    The funeral service for Carol will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2007, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Park View Health Center.
