    Young, Delton A. N6009 Knorr Rd. Shiocton Age 66, died Monday, January 20, 2003 at his home following a short battle with cancer. He was born October 24, 1936 the son of the late Abraham and Esther (Herminath) Young. In the spring of 1959, he joined hands and heart to Rita Burton. They shared unconditional love for 43 years. He was a wonderful, kind, strong and generous man.
    He is survived by his wife, Rita his mother-in-law, Peg Burton, Bear Creek seven wonderful children: Bryan (Carol) Young, Shiocton Bev (Ted) Rusch, Seymour Bruce (Sue) Young, Shiocton Brad (Robin) Young, Shiocton Bart (Michelle) Young, Shiocton Brenda (Mark) Latza, Shiocton Bonnie Young (special friend Dan Smerda), Appleton also a special companion, a dog named Spike 15 grandchildren who were the love of his life: Niki, Amber and Al Young Jennifer Ashauer Ryan, Eric and Ashley Young Abby and Emily Young Spencer and Hunter Young Tyler, Riley and Cody Stockwell Max Latza his brothers and sisters: Sherry (Gene) Freimuth, Shawano Ronald (Bernice) Young, Kaukauna Carol (Harry) Johnson, Neenah Verlee (Roger) Freimuth, Manawa Jerry (DeeDee) Young, Sequin, Texas Janet (Evan) Ritchie, Manawa Margie (Dave) Ort, Iola Dan (Terry) Young, Shiocton Kathy (Elmer) Kaiser, Horicon Elaine (Rob) Robertson, Hortonville Darwin Young (special friend Linda Summer), Shiocton. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive him. His parents and a father-in-law Melvin Burton preceded him in death.
    The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Denis Catholic Church in Shiocton with Rev. Gilbert Jacobs officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
    A special thanks to his wonderful family, Heidi and the hospice team, and Dr. P. Barrett and her kind staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
    God took the strength of a mountain, the majesty of a tree, the warmth of a summer sun, the calm of a quiet sea, the generous soul of nature, the comforting arm of night, the wisdom of the ages, the power of the eagle's flight. The joy of a morning in spring, the faith of a mustard seed, the patience of eternity, the depth of a family need. Then God combined these qualities, when there was nothing more to add, He knew His master piece was complete and so He called it...Dad.

    Shawn Lee Young, age 32, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 10, 2017, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on August 17, 1984. Shawn was a 2002 graduate of Shiocton High School. He formerly worked for Highway Landscapers Inc. and was currently working for Daanen & Janssen Materials in De Pere. Shawn loved working on cars and showing off while doing his signature donuts. He was a member of the Stephensville Street Rods, enjoyed attending car swap meets and spending time at Shawano Speedway in the pits. He was a devoted father who loved sharing his passion of cars with Blake.
    He is survived by his son Blake Young; father Darwin Young; mother Diana (Wayne) Van Straten; siblings Vanessa Young and Jackson Van Straten; niece, Rose Young; significant other, Sammi Suprise and her daughter, Kailee Suprise; maternal grandparents, Robert (Rosie) Weiland; and God-parents, Christine (Richard) Lautenschlager. He is further survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
    Shawn was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Abraham (Ester) Young and step-grandparents, Gerald (Arlene) Van Straten.
    Mass of Christian Burial for Shawn will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Church, Mackville with Fr. Walter Stumpf officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17th from 4-8 p.m. at the Borchardt Moder Funeral Home, Shiocton and also at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Town of Bovina.
    The family would like to thank the Ellington Fire Department and First Responders.

    Kaukauna - Theresa Gilbertson, 63, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018. Theresa was born on January 26, 1955 to Ronald and Berniece Young. On June 15, 1974 she was united in marriage to Charles T. Gilbertson. Theresa was a hardworking, stubborn and inspirational person. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends and was always there for anyone who needed her. Theresa was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend and the times spent with her will always be cherished. She was especially looking forward to being a great grandmother in October.
    Theresa is survived by her husband Charles T. "Chuck" Gilbertson, three children; Carla (Chris) Busse, Erin (Nathan) Schleicher, Charles E. "Chuck E." Gilbertson, grandchildren; Anthony (special friend, Kaylee Wiltse) Stone, Christopher Busse Jr., and Colton Busse, one great grandchild on the way, siblings; Colleen (Tom) Brazee, Julie (Roy) Mankovecky, Laurie (Mark) Rogers, Charlene (Steve) Babbits, Mary (Jim) Keller, mother-in-law Ethel C. Gilbertson, sister-in-law Linda (fiancée, Dennis Smiley) Gilbertson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law Elder Gilbertson, a grandson Caleb Busse, brother Alan Young and niece Ann Young.
    A memorial service for Theresa will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 12:00 PM at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 124 W. 10th St., Kaukauna.     Alan "Uncle Al" Young, age 54 of Hollandtown, passed away on Sunday morning, December 11, 2016, after an ongoing battle with an aneurysm. Al was born in Appleton on April 20, 1962, son of Ronald and Berniece Young. Everyone will remember Al as a fun-loving father and grandfather who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on small engines in his free time. All who knew him also knew this about him: he was just plain naughty!
    Al is survived by his mother: Berniece Young; two sons: Jay Young and Gary (Rachel Beard) Young; five grandchildren: Miah, Ava, and Jacob VanDerSteen and Alexa and Jeremiah Young. He also leaves behind six sisters and a brother: Theresa (Charles) Gilbertson, Colleen (Tom) Brazee, Julie (Roy) Mankovecky, Laurie (Mark) Rogers, Charlene (Steve) Babbitts, Mary (Jim) Keller, and Ronald B. Young, Jr. There are also many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Al. Al was preceded in death by his father Ronald Young, and by his daughter, Anni VanDerSteen on December 2.
    A prayer service for Al will be held at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.     Carla M. Freimuth, age 49, of Appleton, passed away at Cherry Meadows, Appleton, on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Carla was born on October 26, 1961, in Appleton, to Roger and Verlee (Young) Freimuth.
    She was an avid football fan, especially of the Packers, enjoyed McDonalds, Coca-Cola and M&Ms, music, dancing, trains, balloons and camping with her family. Carla was employed at Valley Packaging.
    Survivors include her parents, Roger and Verlee Freimuth, Manawa; her sisters, Vickie (Bob) Teal, Green Bay, Rhonda (Jay) Nelson, Shiocton, Pat (Jesse) Torres, Tulare, California; her brothers, Rodney (Teresa) Freimuth, Freedom, and Russell (Cathy) Freimuth, Appleton; her nieces and nephews, Wesley and Miranda Freimuth, Karl Kuhr, Andrew Teal and Jay (Kari) Teal; Travis Nelson, Tonya (John) Carpenter, and Tina (Tom) Immel, Joshua, Jenny and Justin Freimuth. She is further survived by numerous loving and caring aunts and uncles, cousins, her special friend Patrick, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Abraham and Esther (Herminath) Young and her paternal grandparents, Walter and Grace (Cooney) Freimuth.
    The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2011, at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, Appleton, with Fr. David Kelly, O.F.M. officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. A memorial has been established in Carla's name.
    The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Agape Group Home II, Dr. Honey Bermas, the staff at the Seikman Cancer Center at AMC, the staff of ThedaCare at Home Hospice and Cherry Meadows, for their loving care.

    Patricia Ann "Patty" (Freimuth) Torres, age 49, passed away Oct. 1, 2013. Patty was born on November 20, 1963 in Appleton, daughter of Roger and Verlee (Young) Freimuth. She served her country as a member of the US Army. On June 9, 1996 she married Jesse Torres in California. They cherished 17 years of married life. Patty loved helping other people, attending car shows, and trips to Lake Tahoe and the ocean. She also loved visiting Sequoia National Park and seeing the giant redwood trees. Even after all the years she has lived in California, she always remained a Packer Fan. She worked for Tulare County Social Security office until her disability prevented her from working.
    Patty is survived by her husband, Jesse. Her sisters, Vickie (Bob) Teal, Green Bay Rhonda, (Jay) Nelson, Shiocton, Brothers; Rodney (Teresa) Freimuth, Freedom and Russell (Cathy) Freimuth, Appleton. Her mother-in-law Lupe Pendergraft, Brother-in-Law Santos and Clementi Torres. She is further survived by five nephews, four nieces and numerous loving and caring aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Abraham and Esther (Herminath) Young and her paternal grandparents, Walter and Grace (Cooney) Freimuth. Her sister Carla Marie Freimuth, her father-in-law Tom Pendergraft.
    She will be sadly missed by her Husband Jesse, her parents and her family also her precious dogs, Baby (whom Patty taught to say "I Love You") and GeGe and her cat Zoey.
    Funeral services for Patty will be held at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton on Sat. Oct. 12, 2013 at 12:00 pm. There will be a visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

She was born September 17, 1984 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, daughter of Mary Hopfensperger and Alan Young. Anni graduated from Kaukauna High School, class of 2003 and married Jason VanDerSteen on October 20, 2006 at the St. John Crystal Ballroom.
    Survivors include her husband: Jason; her children: Miah, Ava & Jacob VanDerSteen; her mother and step-father: Mary & David Halbach; her father: Alan Young; her grandmother: Berniece Young; Her father-in-law: Mark VanDerSteen; her mother-in-law: Vickie Miller and her significant other, Robyn Martzahl; 2 brothers: Jay Young & Gary Young and his significant other, Rachel Beard; step-siblings: Pete (Jaime) Halbach, Ann (Joey) Meyers; a niece: Alexa; and a nephew: Jeremiah. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Robert & Evelyn Hopfensperger and Ronald J. Young.
    Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 6:30 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.
    A memorial fund has been established in the name of Ann "Anni" VanDerSteen.

    Miah M. Van Der Steen, Kaukauna, age 13 died peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 9, 2003 in Appleton, WI daughter of Jason Van Der Steen and the late Jaime Petrie and also her adoptive mother, the late Ann "Anni" Van Der Steen. Miah was an "A" Student of the 7th grade at Riverview Middle School in Kaukauna. She participated in many sports, such as track, horseback riding, hunting and fishing. Miah enjoyed spending time with her siblings Ava and Jacob and her extended family and friends.
    She is survived by her father, Jason Van Der Steen; sister, Ava, brother, Jacob, both at home; grandparents: Mark Van Der Steen (special friend April), Vickie Miller (special friend Rob),Bruce (Mickey) Petrie, Jacque Dresang, and Dave (Mary) Halbach; great-grandparents: Carol (Jerry) Van Der Steen, Paul (Eileen) Petrie, Marie Miller, and Berniece Young; three uncles and an aunt: Paul (fiancée Kristen), Jay, Gary, and Angie (Ed) Gonnering. She is further survived by numerous other friends and relatives.
    She was preceded in death by her mothers: Jaime Petrie and Anni Van Der Steen; grandfather, Al Young, great-grandfathers: Jerome Miller and Ronald Young, great-grandparents: Bob and Evelyn Hopfensperger.
    Funeral services for Miah will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 West Seventh St., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating.
