Klein, Marie Catheri ne nee: Sheleski Kaukauna Marie passed away peacefully Thursday, April 6, 2006, at AMC. She was born in Menasha, WI, to John and Martha (Schedgick) Sheleski. Her family lived on Little Lake Butte des Morts, where she learned to be a great swimme r. In fact, she saved the lives of several youngsters who ventured into t he lake. Marie married Mark "Bud" Klein of Kaukauna and together they own ed and operated Klein's Dairy for many years. Marie later worked at Giddin gs & Lewis in Fond du Lac and took pride and enjoyment in her job as an ex peditor.Marie was a wonderful mother to her two children: David (Kathleen) Kle in of Hudson; and Ellen "Ellie" Miller of Appleton. The joys of her life w ere her grandchildren. She was "Grannie" to Kelly Klein (fiance Todd Van E lls) of Madison; Kerri Klein (fiance Rick Hooyman) of Neenah; Melanie (Dar in) Osterman of Kaukauna; Matthew (Wendy) Klein of Milwaukee; and Amanda K lein of Greenfield. She was great-grandma to her "little putsey", Clayt on Tucker of Kaukauna. Her extended family includes Wendy and Geoff Hull a nd their children Luke, Nicholas and Jonathan (who all called her "Grand ma Klown") from Combined Locks. She is further survived by her sister, Syl via Thompson of Racine; her brother, Robert (Kay) Sheleski of Green Bay; a nd her "little sister", Frances of Peachtree Group Home in Marshfield; sis ters-in-law: Lilas Sheleski and Belle Sheleski, both of Menasha; many niec es and nephews.Marie had a great zest for life. She was an excellent cook, a talented sea mstress and could wallpaper and paint like the best of them. The word "tav ernating" was invented by Marie. She was one of the "Golden Girls" who fre quented the local taverns of Kaukauna. She was one of a kind and will be g reatly missed by all who knew her.Marie and Bud purchased the Klein cottage "a little piece of heaven" in Cr ivitz. They enjoyed having the family up, especially the grandkids to enj oy swimming, boating, and eating the great food she made.There will be a memorial service to celebrate the life of Marie Klein on M onday, April 10th at 11 a.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 510 Sull ivan Avenue, Kaukauna. Lunch will follow the service.The family would like to express gratitude to the staff at AMC, especial ly Sister Ruth, Dr. Norma Turk and RN Ken and the nurses on the 4th flo or who gave loving care to our mother Marie. Also a big thank you to the G uardian Angels who took care of mother at her home.
