    Donald, Michael A.
    Michael A. McDonald, 49, Green Bay, began flying with a new set of wings on Sunday, April 8, 2007, after a courageous fight with cancer. He was born in Green Bay, on June 3, 1957, to Sally Ann (DeGroot) and Chester R. McDonald. Michael graduated from St. Norbert College with a degree in Accounting and later attained his CPA certification. He married Coreen Schman on Aug. 9, 1985. Besides flying, Michael enjoyed biking, traveling and cooking. He was a commercial rated pilot since 1974 and a lifelong member of E.A.A. Michael was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and Employers Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee. He achieved his dream of owning and flying a World War II aircraft. Michael had a zest for life and was passionate and enthusiastic about everything.
    Michael was Vice President of the family business, McDonald Lumber Co. He was on the board of directors for M&I Bank. Michael cherished and was very devoted to his family and friends. He was a compassionate husband, father, son and brother. He set a good example for his sons, Mackenzie and Hayden, and left big shoes for them to fill. Michael was personable, lived life to the fullest and was a true gentleman. He will be sadly missed.
    Michael is survived by his loving wife, Coreen; two sons, Mackenzie and Hayden, both of Green Bay; parents, Sally Ann and Chester R. McDonald, Green Bay; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marilyn and Charles Schman, Sterling, Mich.; sisters, Denise (Tom) Moore, Green Bay; Darcel McDonald (Ned Waldman), Minneapolis, Minn.; and a brother, Chester A. McDonald and Jacquie Locken, Green Bay. He is further survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; a niece, Angela Moore and her fiance, John Flatley; nephews, Chip (Katie) McDonald and Patrick McDonald; special cousin, Margaret Matuszak; young family friend, Lewis Edwards; many nieces, nephews, cousins, loving relatives and dear friends.
    Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mae and Al DeGroot and paternal grandparents, Margaret and Chester S. McDonald; his favorite aunt, Betty Gilson; and his dog and faithful friend, Jake.
    Gathering time with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, (TODAY) from 4 until the Time of Sharing, which will be held at 7 p.m. at the Schauer & Schumacher Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, corner of Lourdes and Suburban in West De Pere, from 9 a.m. until the Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. with Father Tim Shillcox, O.Praem officiating.
    Memorials made to Michael's family for the Brain Tumor Center at Duke University would be appreciated.
