Vaubel, Ethel J.
God saw that Ethel was getting tired and called her home. At the age of 82, Ethel passed away June 28, 2006, following a short illness. She was born in Clintonville on August 30, 1923, to Arnold and Frieda (Wagner) Graper. In 1946, she married Arnold Vaubel. Ethel enjoyed many hobbies and interests. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years, loved to play cribbage, was a Milwaukee Brewers fan and was shooting darts until her recent illness. Ethel loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.
Ethel is survived by her three sons: Larry (fiancee Rosemary Van Den Langenberg), Dennis (Carla), James (Brenda) Vaubel, all of Appleton; two daughters: Judy Natz of Appleton, Vicki (Paul) Stoeger of Shiocton; a sister, Betty Salm of Darboy; and a sister-in-law, Mavis Graper of Clintonville. She is further survived by 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; her parents, Arnold and Frieda Graper; two brothers, Ervin and Howard Graper.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2006, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 209 S. Allen St., Appleton, with Pastor Kurt and Mary Beth officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
Ethel's family would like to extend a special "Thanks" to Sara and the nurses at St. Elizabeth hospital and to Affinity Hospice.
