    Conrad, Eva M.Eva M. Conrad, age 85, Freedom, beloved mother, grams and more grams pass ed away on Saturday, November 5, 2005, following a courageous battle wi th cancer. She was born June 8, 1920, in Little Chute, the daughter of t he late Theodore and Hattie (Hieptas) Lamers. On October 30, 1943, she mar ried Norbert Conrad in Park Ridge, New Jersey. Eva worked all her li fe at home caring for her family. She was a member of St. Nicholas Cathol ic Church, Christian Mother Society, and the VFW Freedom Post 7692 Auxilia ry. Eva will be sadly missed by her family and friends.Eva is survived by three children and their spouses: Sharon (Clarence) Van Handel of Freedom; Kathy (Mel) Brockman of Freedom; and Jerry (Sandy) Conr ad of Appleton; daughter-in-law, Linda (Dan) Vosters of Freedom; 11 grandc hildren: Missy (Kevin) VerVoort, Patty (Bruce) Opperman, Tammy (Scott) Cor rigan, Randy, Jeffrey, Larry (Kelly) VanHandel, Beth Ann (Roger) Edelbur g, Sarah (Mark) McGrath, Jenny (Ryan) McSorley, Tony (Lillie) Conrad and D avid (Jessie) Conrad. 19 great-grandchildren that loved more grams: Ashle y, Halie, and Amber VerVoort, Matthew, Mason, Madalyn, and Marshal Opperma n, Emily and Jared Corrigan, Tammi Peters, Jasmine VanHandel, Jake, Josh a nd Chloe VanHandel, Andrew and Samantha Edelburg, Mitchell McGrath, Dust in and Savannah McSorley. Sisters-in -laws: Harriet Conrad of Freedom, Blanche Vandenberg of Freedom; and Mari on Conrad of Appleton; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.She is preceded in death by her husband, Norbert and son, Wayne Conrad a nd great-grandson, Jeffrey VanHandel, Jr. Five brothers: Robert, Richar d, Ivo, LeRoy, and Cliff Lamers. Stepmother Anna (Mullen) Lamers, stepbrot hers: Emory and Francis Mullen and stepsister, Ruth Plamann. Six brothers- in-law: Walter, John, Joseph, Earl, Bill Conrad and Quentin Vandenberg; si sters-in-law: Ann Hietpas, Marion Jansen, Rosella VandenBoom and Agnes Ber gman.The funeral liturgy for Eva will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, November 1 0, 2005, at ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Freedom, with Father John Schuet ze officiating. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Friends may ca ll at the church on Thursday from 1 p.m. until time of the mass. Wayne was born December 5th, 1946 in Appleton, son of Norbert a nd Eva (Lamers) Conrad of Freedom. On June 17th, 1967, he married the for mer Linda Daul in Freedom; she survives. Wayne was a lifetime reside nt of Freedom and had worked for over 20 years for Paul Van Zeeland Heatin g. In 1991, he and Linda started their own business, Conrad Heating and A ir conditioning Inc. He was a member of the Freedom Lions Club, Ducks Unl imited, and St. Nicholas Catholic church. In enjoyed spending time at h is trailer near Townsend, hunting, snowmobiling, and NASCAR racin g.     On the eve of Thanksgiving November 21, 2012 Sharon L. Van Handel, 63, of Freedom, Wisconsin passed away after a lengthy battle with Lupus with her family by her side. Sharon was born on July 7, 1949 in Freedom to the late Norbert and Eva Conrad. She was a 1967 graduate of Freedom High School. On August 10, 1968 she married Clarence Van Handel at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
    Together Clarence & Sharon established the family livestock farm and business that the family continues to operate today. Sharon loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved picnics and sleepovers, sitting around the fire pit and enjoying pudgy pies. She also had a contagious laugh and was known for her practical jokes played on her family and friends. She enjoyed camping and time up north at her sister Kathy's cottage where she often took golf cart rides. She also enjoyed Country USA and trips to Laughlin, NV. She was an avid Packer fan and rarely missed a game.
    Sharon's treasures were her family, her faith, her farm and her friends. She always had time for them all.
    She lovingly held the titles of wife to Clarence, mother to Randall, Little Chute, Jeffrey (special friend Sherry Jansen), Freedom and Larry (Kelly), Freedom, grandmother to Tammi Peeters, Jasmine Van Handel and Jake, Josh and Chloe Van Handel, sister to Kathy (Mel) Brockman, Freedom and Jerry (Sandy) Conrad, Appleton, sister-in-law to Linda Conrad (Dan) Vosters, aunt to nieces and nephews and friend to many. Also survived by Clarence's family Laverne & Floyd Vandenberg (Floyd deceased), Lorraine & Joe Steffens (Joe deceased), Delores & Pat Van De Hey, Florian & Linda Van Handel, Ron & Irene Van Handel, and Joe Van Handel.
    Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Jeffrey Van Handel, Jr., brother Wayne Conrad, Clarence's parents Ed & Blanche Van Handel, brother-in-law Willard Van Handel, niece Tracy and nephew Ricky.
    Friends may call at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, W2037 County Road S, Freedom, on Tuesday, November 27 from 2:00 - 5:45 pm. Mass of Christian burial will follow with Fr. Dan Felton and Fr. Dave Beaudry concelebrating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.valleyfh.com.
    In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
    A very special thank you to the entire Kathy and Mel Brockman family including Beth Ann, Sarah & Jenny who were like daughters to Sharon. Your love and care will always be remembered. Also, thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Appleton Medical Center, and especially her family doctor, Dr. Brian Scott.
    Sharon prayed that God would give her the strength to accept the things she could not change, the courage to change the things she could and the wisdom to know the difference.

He is preceded in death by his maternal gr andfather Verle “Pete” Ehnerd of Wrightstown, and paternal great-grandfath er, Norbert Conrad Freedom, Great Grandparents Ed and Blanche Van Hand el of Freedom.Funeral Services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at St. Edwar ds Catholic Church, N2921 State Hwy 47 with Fr. Charles Brooks officiatin g. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the churc h. Private burial will take place in the parish cemetery. In lieu of oth er expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.Jeffrey Sr, Kim, Jamie, Tammi and Jasmine would like to thank those who as sisted the family during their difficult hours on Saturday, including t he Freedom First Responders, friends and neighbors and the staff of Applet on Medical Center Emergency Room. Your kind words, gestures, and prayers w ill never be forgotten. Thank you to all the Doctors that helped to tre at him. Thank you all so very much. Everyone who knew him will always reme mber his love for tractors, cows and farming.
