    Carlie Krause, 83, Appleton, died peacefully on Friday, Dec. 8, 2006 at his home. He was born Dec. 23, 1922, in Appleton, the son of the late Charles and Emma (Lau) Kraus. Carlie married Marie Diestler on Aug. 28, 1948, at Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church, Appleton. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force. Carlie was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. He was employed at Allis Chalmers for 40 years and retired in 1985. Carlie was the past president of the Machinist Union for 12 years and assistant treasurer for Allis Chalmers Credit Union for over 30 years. After retirement, he volunteered for Respite Care VNA. Carlie was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling with his wife. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    Carlie is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marie Krause; sons, Dan Krause, Appleton; and David (Corinne) Krause, Hortonville; grandchildren, Adam (Lisa), Ryan, Philip, Sarah, Julia (Lee) and Thomas (Carrie); great granddaughters, Faith and Rebecca; sister-in-law, Elvera Kraus, Menasha. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who also loved him.
    Carlie was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold and Elmer Kraus; and sister, Viola (Ray) De Wall.
    The funeral service for Carlie will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 N. Morrison, with Rev. John C. Baumann officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday at Wichmann Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund is being established in his name.

    b>Woehler, Julia M.Julia M. Woehler, Hortonville, age 26, went to be with her heavenly father on Monday, March 5, 2007 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton. Julia was born on February 14, 1981, in Neenah daughter of David and Corinne (Niemuth) Krause. Julia graduated from Hortonville High School in 2000. She was actively involved in band, choir, musicals and cheerleading. She graduated from Fox Valley Technical College in 2003 with an associate's degree in computer technology. She was currently employed at St. Elizabeth's Hospital as a Health Information Technologist; she was recently recognized as a dedicated employee. Julia married Lee Woehler on October 29, 2005, in Readfield. Julia is survived by her husband Lee; parents David and Corinne Krause, Hortonville; father and mother-in-law Ron (Terry) Woehler, Appleton; paternal grandmother Marie Krause, Appleton; maternal grandparents Eugene and Laverne Niemuth, New London. A brother Thomas (Carrie) Krause, Hortonville; a sister-in-law Valerie (Jason) Waters, Appleton. She is further survived by aunts and uncles: Connie (Steve) Wilz, New London; Mark (Kari) Niemuth, New London; Lisa (Joel) Rank, Fremont; Dan Krause, Appleton; cousins: Steve (Michelle) Wilz, Ryan and Amy Niemuth, Adam (Lisa) Krause, Ryan, Phillip and Sarah Krause, also a niece Faith and two nephews Bret and Zachary. Also a very special friend Pastor John Brandt who; baptized, confirmed and officiated for her special wedding ceremony. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Carlie Krause and a cousin Eric Wilz. Funeral services for Julia will be held on Friday, March 9, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Ev. Lutheran Church in Hortonville with Rev. Ralph Rosenberg officiating. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, Hortonville. Friends may call at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville on Thursday, March 8, 2007, from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. We love you Julia and always will, love mom and dad. You will always be my angel at my side, love always, Lee.
