    Dorothy M. Eldred, age 79, Stockbridge, died on Friday, Jan. 28, 2005 at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton. She was born on May 31, 1925 in High Cliff daughter of the late Herman and Ida (Fiedler) Arndt. She married Gordon Eldred on Nov. 28, 1941 in Sherwood. She and her husband farmed throughout her life. She enjoyed playing sheepshead with her family and friends.
    She is survived by her husband, Gordon; eight children, Allen (Chris) Eldred, Sherwood; Anita (Robert) Carney, Menasha; Janice (Ray) Carney, Hilbert; Robert (Pauline) Eldred, Marytown; Sharon Eldred, New Holstein; Jean (Bill) Stueber, Menasha; Donald Eldred and special friend Paul, Sherwood; David (Sue) Eldred, Hilbert; 15 grandchildren, Tim (Deanne) Eldred, Tammy (Mike) Eldred, Mark Carney and special friend Vicki, Lynn (John) Schoendorf, Paula (Brad) Scholz, Penny Carney and special friend Lance, Aaron Eldred, Jeremy Eldred, Kelly Karls, Jody Thiel, Jason (Brenda) Thiel, Matthew Eldred and special friend Sara H., Jamie Eldred and special friend Mike, Justin Eldred and special friend Andrea, Lindsay Eldred; two step grandchildren, Tessa and Scott Veith; 11 great-grandchildren, Amanda Eldred, Tyler Eldred, Carissa Goerl Eldred, Kelsey, Brittany, and John Schoendorf, Evan and Eli Scholz, Dawson Miller, Tyler Karls, and Alisha Thiel; a sister, Delores "Tudy"; a brother, Clifford; and four sisters-in-law: Eunice Steinmetz, Maggie Arndt, Florence Eldred, and Lorraine Eldred.
    She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry, Lester, and Jerry "Buddy" Ardnt.
    Funeral Services will be at 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 31, 2005 at Wieting Family Funeral Home, 411 W. Main St., Chilton. Burial will take place in the Portland Historic Cemetery on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005 at 10 a.m. Friends may call on Monday at the funeral home from 3 to 8 p.m.
    A memorial fund has been established in the name of Dorothy M. Eldred.
    The family would also like to thank the staff of Appleton Medical Center for their excellent care.
