    Nancy D. Haas, age 84, of Kimberly, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Cherry Meadows in Appleton. Nancy was born in Kimberly, on February 4, 1931, to the late George and Marie (Allie) Vander Zanden. She graduated from Kimberly High School in 1949 and began her career in hospitality as a waitress at the Left Guard and George's in Appleton. Nancy was well-known as the manager of the Left End Steak House and owner operator of Nancy's Lounge in Manitowoc, prior to operating Nancy's Bar in Appleton for over 20 years. She retired in 1998.
    Nancy had a passion for both cards and sports. She was an avid cribbage player, involved for years in both tournaments and leagues. Nancy was also a huge Packers and Badgers fan, following the entire NFL. Nancy tremendously enjoyed her grandchildren.

    Weyauwega - Norene L. Danke age 81, of Weyauwega passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 20, 2018 following a brief illness. She was born on March 21, 1937 in Appleton, WI, the daughter of the late George and Marie(Krueger)VanderZanden. On February 13, 1960, Norene married Leon Danke at Holy Spirit Church in Kimberly. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2010. Norene was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Weyauwega She loved crocheting, reading books, spending time with her family, a sitting on her front deck swing watching wildlife. She especially enjoyed taking weekly bus trips to the casino with her friends.     Kaukauna - On January 2, 2018, Jedd James Vander Zanden of Kaukauna, 64, passed away peacefully under the loving care of the staff at Cherry Meadows, after a two year battle with cancer, with his sisters by his side. He was born on August 16, 1953 to the late Charles and Elaine Vander Zanden. He attended Kimberly schools and lived in the Fox Valley all of his life. Prior to his illness, he enjoyed his job at Ariens Company in Brillion. His passion in life was fishing, either by boat or on the ice. The lakes in the northwoods were his favorites- fishing for bluegill, walleye and perch. Because of his love for the outdoors, he was very concerned about the environment and global warming.
    Jedd is survived by his four sisters: Judy Ziegler, Appleton, Pat (Mike) Mathis, Madison, Kay (Randy) Ponschock, Grand Chute, and Nora (Ken) Hermus, Crandon and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
    As per Jedd's wishes he was cremated and all family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life on JANUARY 19, 2018 at 1000 ISLANDS NATURE CENTER, 1000 Beaulieu Court, Kaukauna, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. All friends are welcome to share memories and stories of our beloved brother and can be expressed at www.hovcremation.com.
    His request was for all of the proceeds of his estate to go to help families of children with cancer to ease their burden.
    The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all of Jedd's caregivers over his two year battle for their care and compassion.

    Vander Zanden, Nicholas D.Dar boyAge 21, died unexpectedly on September 9, 2003. He was born in Applet on on November 20, 1981 to David and Cynthia Vander Zanden. Nick attend ed Xavier High School and graduated from St. Mary High School in Menash a. He enjoyed hunting with his Dad and brother, playing high school footba ll, video games, and teasing his sisters.     Hortonville - Michael Steven Vander Zanden. Mike- father, son, brother, uncle, and friend- lost his battle with mental illness and completed suicide on May 5, 2018. Age 32, Mike was born in Appleton on September 16, 1985 to David and Cynthia (Janssen) Vander Zanden. Mike was a devoted father to his 5 year old son, Charlie, and treasured all of the their time spent together. He enjoyed hunting, spending time up north at the cottage, playing golf, and harassing his sisters. He deeply missed his older brother Nick, who completed suicide 15 years ago. It was known to all that Mike was Grandma Janssen's favorite. He was known for his huge smile, his mischievous sense of humor, and his many creative business endeavors.
    Mike will be deeply missed by his son, Charlie Somers; his parents, David and Cynthia Vander Zanden; his 3 sisters, Becky Montour, Kelly (Spenser) Rathsack and Jayda Vander Zanden; his Godparents and aunt and uncle, Deb (Greg) Sprangers, as well as other aunts and uncles, Donna (Don) Stratton, Barb (John) Kelderman, Lynn (Mark) Van Zeeland, Randy (Basia) Vander Zanden, Patti (Steve) Canan, Linda (Jerry) Vanevenhoven, Jim Janssen, Mike (Tammy) Janssen, and Anne (Randy) Reschke.     Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Nick; cousin, Ally; paternal grandparents, Donald and Dolores Vander Zanden, and his maternal grandparents, Merlin and Joyce Janssen.
    The funeral liturgy for Mike will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville (105 N. Olk St.), with Fr. Adam Bradley officiating. Friends may visit directly at the church on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Interment will be in Holy Spirit Cemetery in Kimberly.
    In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested the donations be directed to the Nicholas and Michael Vander Zanden Memorial Fund.
    The family would like to thank Dr. Leonard and all the nurses in the ICU at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their compassionate care during Mike's final two weeks.
    Our lives will be a little less bright without your smile, but we will feel its warmth from Heaven when you meet again with Nick.

    Andrea Wirth, age 35, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 21, 2014. She was born on December 27, 1978, in Appleton, the daughter of Thomas and Angela (Toepel) Wirth. Andrea graduated from Kaukauna High School Class of 1997 as Valedictorian. She then went on to receive her BA in Economics and Business from Cornell College, Mount Vernon, Iowa, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2000. While attending Cornell College Andrea locally headed Habitat for Humanity and following graduation she was elected to the Board of Young Trustees for the College.
    Andrea began her professional career in 2000 as an Equity Analyst with Robert W. Baird in Milwaukee. While working full-time, from 2005 to 2008, Andrea attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, receiving her MBA with a concentration in Accounting and Finance. Shortly thereafter Andrea was promoted to Vice President-Senior Analyst and relocated to Chicago where she worked for Robert W. Baird until 2011. Andrea was currently employed as a Research Associate with Oak Ridge Investments.
    Andrea lived life to its fullest and was passionate about many things. On any given day you could see her out running on the streets of Chicago with her beloved Labrador and constant companion Ella. Andrea was an advocate for furthering education and a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization. She was passionate about her career and politics and was an active member of the Chicago Young Professionals and Chicago Young Republicans. She enjoyed reading books, had a great love for music and became an accomplished pianist. Andrea enjoyed being active, social and making lasting and meaningful connections with family and her many wonderful friends.
    Andrea is survived by her parents Thomas and Angela Wirth; brothers: Landon (Nicole) Wirth and Brenton Wirth; niece Emerson Wirth; grandparents Diane and Harry Wirth; She is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Andrea was preceded in death by her grandmother Edith Toepel.
    The funeral liturgy for Andrea will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 29, 2014 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH - ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 W. Seventh Street in Kaukauna. Fr. Jerry Pastors will be officiating. A Celebration of Andrea's Life will be held on Thursday at the Fargo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again at the church from 11:00 am until the time of mass.
    To support Andrea's passion for furthering education, a memorial scholarship fund for women pursuing a career in business will be established in her name. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to this fund is requested.
