    Columbus, GA - Patrick Richard "Dick" Ellis, 75 of Columbus, Georgia passed away on April 8, 2018.
    Dick was born September 11, 1942 in Neenah, WI to Howard and Marie Ellis. He served proudly in the United States Army and the National Guard Reserves. He was awarded a Purple Heart in the Vietnam War as well as many other medals and accomadations during his tenure. His other careers included being the first Harris County Manager, Deputy City Manager for the City of Columbus, Executive Director of the Buick Challenge PGA Golf Tournament and he retired as Vice President of Operations for Columbus Technical College in 2011. His most favorite "non-paying job", as his wife jokingly referred to it as, was Chairman of the Columbus Development Authority. Dick's passion and love for this position was driven by his desire to help with the growth and betterment of Columbus. In 2014, Ellis was given the Volunteer of the Year award by the Chamber of Commerce. He was also a loyal, long-standing member of the Rotary Club. He loved college football and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
    Ellis was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law Allie Mae Everritt, two brothers, Howard F. Ellis and Tommy Joe Ellis, brothers-in-law Farouk Sankari, Edward Spethman and Steve Bryan and his Aunt, Liliosa "Aunt Lil" Preisen.
    He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sylvia Bryan Ellis, his daughter, Karen Fletcher Wise of Alpharetta, GA and her husband Olin, two Grandchildren, Hayley Wise of Chattanooga, TN and Mitchell Wise of Alpharetta, GA, four brothers of Neenah, WI, Michael Ellis (Sandy), David Ellis (Mary), Robert Ellis
    (Elke), Mark Ellis (Sue), two sisters, Bettie Spethman of Omaha, NE and Jean Sankari of Taos, NM, and sister-in-law Linda G. Raney of Columbus, GA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to East Alabama Humane Society, 712 13th Street, Suite E, Phenix City, AL 36867 or St. Anne Catholic Church, 2000 Kay Circle, Columbus, GA 31907.

    Janis Rose Trettin, Kaukauna, age 75, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2009, at Colony Oaks Care Center in Appleton. She was born on October 12, 1933, at the home of her grandparents, Carl and Josie Ward, which was in Shawano County. Janis was the daughter of Joel and Rose (Buchberger) Ward. She attended Elm Lawn Grade School, which was a one-room school house and was a graduate of Seymour High School, class of 1952. Janis moved to Kaukauna and had been employed by Zwicker Knitting Mills, Thilmany Paper, and Red Owl Delicatessen. On November 7, 1959, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Trettin in Seymour at St. John Catholic Church. Janis enjoyed visiting Uncle Tony and Aunt Edna in Florida and the cottage at Wabeno on Roberts Lake, where she was cook for the deer hunting camp. She loved to bowl, play cards, and travel. She also was expected to bring potato salad to all family functions. Janis was caregiver to Steenie Weyenberg for 6 years as well.
    She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; three sons: Mark, Kaukauna; David (Kay) and children, Elizabeth and Chad, Kaukauna; Paul (Tracy) and children, Alanna and Alison, Manito, IL; 11 brothers and sisters: Nancy Piccolo, Clintonville; Glen (Yvonne) Ward, Green Bay; Joan Abel, Black Creek; Joyce (Wayne) Heim, Green Bay; Carl (Luella) Ward, Seymour; Mina (Bruce) Landsverk, Freedom; Mary (Samuel) Rettler, Kaukauna; Dan (Cindy) Ward, Appleton; Anita (Ray) Theobald, Black Creek; Patrick (Colleen) Ward, Black Creek; Debra (Bill) Dicke, Appleton; Lisa Ward, LaCrosse; a brother-in-law, Gerald (Mary) Trettin, Kaukauna.

    The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 NOON on Thursday September 17, 2009, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. ALOYSIUS SITE, 2401 Main Ave., Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday directly at Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in her name.     Pat was a graduate of Seymour High School. Pat was a state licensed journeyman plumber and was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 400 for 35 years. He was also a member of the Black Creek Sportsman Club for many years.
    Pat enjoyed his title of "President of deer camp" up north at his trailer, near Townsend, WI, and spending summer holidays up north with his family. He always looked forward to his annual fishing trip to Canada with his fishing buddies. Pat loved being around people and he had a special place in his heart for the Bluma family.
    He will be greatly missed by his 5 grandsons whom he adored so much. Pat always enjoyed driving "The Bus" for parties.
    Survivors include his wife Colleen; daughters: Sheila St. Thomas (special friend Brian Shepard), Angela (Keith) Van Den Heuvel, Katie Prue; grandchildren: Alex, Bret and Cole Van Den Heuvel, Mason and Gavin St. Thomas; Also survived by his brothers and sisters: Nancy Piccolo, Clintonville; Glen (Yvonne) Ward, Green Bay; Joan Abel, Black Creek; Mina (Bruce) Landsverk, Freedom; Mary (Samuel) Rettler, Kaukauna; Dan (Cindy) Ward, Appleton; Anita (Ray) Theobald, Black Creek; Debra (Bill) Dicke, Appleton; and Lisa Ward, La Crosse; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Joyce (Wayne) Heim, Luella Ward, Butch (Ruth) Damsheuser, Bonnie (Duane) Kreuger, Bill (Brenda) Vanden Bloomer, Tina (Jim) Behler, Vickie Vanden Bloomer, Lynn Wautier, LuAnn Vanden Bloomer, Jeff (Tina) Vanden Bloomer, Becky (Bill) Voigt, Mike Vanden Bloomer; Pats extended family: Matt St. Thomas, Sara (Nate) Schmit and Greg (Sabrina) Audette.
    He was preceded in death by a sister Janis Trettin; 4 brothers: Ivan "Bud", David, William and Carl; sister-in-law, Kim Vanden Bloomer.
    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. visitation will continue at St. John's Catholic Church, Seymour on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will take place at Elm Lawn Cemetery in the Town of Maple Grove.

    Pat lead a courageous battle with kidney disease, doing dialysis at home for the past 3 years and thought his nurses were the best. He lived life to the fullest and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
