    Obituary:
    Ralph A. Young, age 92 of Clintonville passed away peacefully Sunday morning, October 20, 2013 at the Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville.
    Ralph was born in the Town of Deer Creek, Outagamie County, on August 12, 1921. He was the son of the late Frank and Della (Balthazor) Young. Ralph grew up on the family farm with his many brothers and sisters. He lived there until February 14, 1942 when he married Violet N. Bricco. They were married 71 ½ years. The couple purchased a farm in rural Shiocton and farmed there until 1955 when they moved to Clintonville. They then bought a farmette in rural Clintonville in 1962. Ralph was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville where he served as an usher for many years. He was an avid gardener and farmer. Ralph worked at Crystal Fountain Dairy, Diecks' Excavating, Seagrave, and also drove school bus for many years. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed entertaining family and friends in his backyard.
    Survivors include: His Wife: Violet.
    4 Children: Sandra (Wayne) Olson, Embarrass; Sheila (Jim) Villesse, New London; Thomas (Nancy) Young, Clintonville; & Anne (Brandon) Stern, Waupaca.
    13 Grandchildren & 2 Step Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren & 4 Step Great-Grandchildren.
    A Sister: Wilma Muthig, Neenah.
    Also many nieces and nephews.
    Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters: Gladys Wied, Lorretta Conrad, Janet Kroll, & Lois Muthig; 5 brothers: Theodore, Clarence, Royce, Orville, & John; and a great-grandson Jordon Ubersox.
    Funeral services will be held Friday October 25, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville with Rev. Jack Mullarkey & Deacon Lincoln Wood officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery also in Clintonville.
    Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting his family with the arrangements. www.eberhardtstevenson.com.

    Elizabeth "Betty" J. Noack, age 89, of Appleton, formally of rural Seymour, passed away Tuesday morning, September 23, 2014 at Brewster Village. She was born January 26, 1925 daughter of the late Alex and Edith (Rice) Baltahzor.
    On June 30, 1945, she was united in marriage to Alfred Noack in the Town of Cicero. He preceded her in death January 15, 1995.
    Betty and her husband, Alfred farmed in the Town of Cicero until their retirement. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Appleton .
    She is survived by her sister, Geneva Muthig, Appleton; special nieces: Pam, Lisa and Sandy; nieces and nephews.
    Preceded in death by four brothers: Lavern, Lester, Ray and Robert Baltahzor; two sisters: Edna School and Millie Linsten.

    Hazel V. Barrington, 94, New London, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, at St. Joseph Residence in New London. She was born on April 10, 1914, in New London, daughter of the late Eugene and Emily (Balthazor) Bessett. She married Frank Roberts, and they were married 20 years together until his death. She then married Clyde Barrington and they were married 35 years until his death.
    She is survived by her children, Beverly (Robert) Willard, Keith (Doris) Roberts, Robert (Barbara) Roberts, Gloria Knorr, Judith (Jay ) Krake, Mary (Charles) Brennen; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
    Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Conrad Christensen and Ronald Knorr; and a sister and brother-in-law Dorothy (Glenn) Hall.
    A private memorial service for Hazel will be held in the spring.

    Helerian Victor Balthazor, age 82, New London, left this earth on Sunday, November 7, 2010. Helerian was born on January 31, 1928, oldest son of Casper and Gertrude (Simmonis) Balthazor. On October 18, 1950, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Spoehr. Helerian retired from the Neenah Foundry in 1992, after 29½ years of service. His love for life was hunting, fishing and watching his large garden grow. You can take the boy off the farm but you can't take the farm out of the boy.
    He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; was the loving father of: Helen Wilson, Michael Balthazor, his wife, Barb, Jerome Balthazor, his wife, Phyllis, Margaret Douglas, Diana Warren and special friend, Tex Keeton, and James Balthazor. Loving grandfather of Michael Wilson, Laural Connolly, Ryan Balthazor, Jason Balthazor, Amy Alf, Merri Balthazor, Katheryn Weidner, Jerilyn Anker, Tammy Douglas, Samantha Warren, Kristina Warren, Judith Warren, Jolen Calkens, Jordan Balthazor, Jacole Balthazor, Michael Theodore James.     Norman "Norm" L. Balthazor, 70, died at home on Friday, April 10, 2009, with his family by his side following a strong four year battle with cancer. Norm was born April 1, 1939, in the Township of Maple Creek, son of the late Casper and Gertrude (Simonis) Balthazor. On June 2, 1973, Norm was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Betty) Hutchison. Throughout his life, Norm enjoyed many activities, including gardening, woodworking, fishing and farming. He also loved to polka.
    Norm is survived by his wife, Betty; and children, Dan (Tammy) La Marche, Green Bay; Laurie (Don) Carlton, Little Suamico; Jan (Mike) Russert, Pleasant Prairie; Sarah Balthazor, Wisconsin Rapids; Beth (Joel) Ombati, Woodville; Jill Balthazor, Appleton; and Nathan Balthazor, Sugar Bush.     Lowney, Lorraine Jeanette (Balthazor)
    Mrs. Lorraine J. Lowney, age 73, of Manawa, was reunited with her husband, Leonard, and her two sons, Brian and Thomas, in heaven on Wednesday, Au gust 30, 2006. She passed peacefully in the early morning with her fami ly by her side. She was born on September 28, 1932, to William and Leona ( Bertram) Balthazor. Lorraine graduated from New London High School in M ay of 1950. She married her true love, Leonard Lowney, on July 19, 195 0, in Bear Creek, Wisconsin. Lorraine was a loving, dedicated wife and mot her. Her greatest joy was watching her children and grandchildren. She s at through many football games and wrestling matches with a smile on her f ace.

    New London - Theodore "Ray" Balthazor, age 83 of New London, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at ThedaCare in Neenah after a short illness. Ray was born on February 19, 1935 in Bear Creek to the late Bill and Leona Balthazor. He was united in marriage to Shirley Anvelink on June 8, 1963. Ray was employed at Bordens/Saputo in New London and retired after 40 years. He was a board supervisor for 40 years for the Town of Maple Creek and was a volunteer for the New London Fire Department for 10 years. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to flea markets, doing yard work and collecting old cars. He loved attending the Iola Car Show. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
    Ray is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Sue (Jim) Stern, New London; grandchildren, Jessica (Derek) Jablonicky, Green Bay and Meagan (Matt) Skarzynski, Shawano; great-grandson, Mason and brother-in-law, Terry (Julie) Anvelink, Navarino.
    Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Leona Balthazor; son, Kevin and siblings, Lorraine (Lenard) Lowney, Joyce Balthazor and Loyes (Mary) Balthazor.
    A Mass of Christian Burial for Ray will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Shiocton. Fr. Jack Mullarkey will be officiating.     Ervin C. Balthazor, 71, Appleton, passed away Monday, January 26, 2009, after a long illness at the Rennes Health Care Center. He was born December 19, 1937, in New London to the late Chester and Catherine (Peeters) Balthazor. Erv married Donna Bergsbaken September 12, 1957, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bear Creek. He served his country in the United States Navy. Erv worked at the Neenah Foundry for 40 years retiring in 2000. He and Donna were members of St. Edward Parish for over 45 years.
    He will be greatly missed by his wife, Donna, Appleton; sons: Steven (Dawn), Black Creek and Richard (Sheila) Green Bay; a daughter, Diane Danley, Appleton; four grandsons: Chad, Erik and Alex Balthazor and Jacob Danley; two sisters: Genevieve (Keith) Leeman, Appleton and Clara (Nelson) Greely, Wild Rose; a brother, Clement (Karen) Balthozor, Bear Creek. He is further survived by three brothers-in-law: Lauren Spoehr, Earl Thoma and Carlton (Twila) Heideman.
    Erv was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Theresa Spoehr, Beatrice Thoma and Josephine Heideman and a grandson, Kyle Danley.
    Funeral services for Erv will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2009, at St. Edward Catholic Church, Mackville with Rev. Norm Krutzik officiating. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass also at church. A memorial fund is being established.

    Young, James J. James J. Young, age 76 years, of Clintonville, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at St. Joseph Residence, New London. James John Young was born August 23, 1931, in New London to the late Theodore and Anna Marie (Peters) Young. He was united in marriage on October 14, 1953, to Beatrice Carol Desmond at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bear Creek. The couple farmed for many years just east of Bear Creek. After selling the farm, Jim worked for Larsen's Cooperative in New London, selling seed to area farmers for over 10 years. The couple moved to Clintonville in the late 1970s. His wife, Carol, preceded him in death on March 25, 2004. Jim is a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bear Creek, and is currently a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. Jim enjoyed fishing, wood crafts, gardening, watching and feeding the birds, and playing cards, especially sheepshead.
    Survivors include eight children: Joan Reissmann, Neenah; Michael (Cathy) Young, Appleton; Margie Carpenter, Navarino; Marie (Rusty) Wied, Weyauwega; Shirley (Karol) Young, Madison; Frank Young, Clintonville; Steve (Jill) Young, Clintonville; Andrew Young, Appleton.     Berniece V. Young, Kaukauna Wisconsin, passed away on October 14, 2017. Berniece was born on November 25, 1935 in Deer Creek, Wisconsin to Theodore and Anna (Peeter) Young. She was a graduate of Shiocton High School. On July 14, 1954 she married Ronald J. Young in Bear Creek and he preceded her in death on February 29, 2012. Together, Berniece and Ronald owned and operated R.B. Pallett Service where she worked for over 22 years until her retirement on December 1, 2006. Berniece loved to travel. In her life she was able to attend a World's Fair in Tennessee and 3 Super Bowls. She travelled to Alaska, Florida, New Orleans and Texas. For over 20 years, Berniece and Ronald made annual trips to Hawaii and she always looked forward to that trip. She also went to Guatamala, Barbados, Canada for fishing and Puerto Rico. She was a member of Irish Water and Mid Valley Golf Clubs and on March 17, 2004 she scored a hole-in-one while golfing in a foursome with Ronald and Peg and Dick O'Keefe. She was a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna.
    She is survived by: seven children: Theresa (Charles) Gilbertson of Kaukauna; Colleen (Tom) Brazee of Appleton; Julie (Roy) Mankovecky of Kaukauna; Laurie (Mark) Rogers of Galesville; Charlene (Steve) Babbitts of Kimberly; Mary (Jim) Keller of Greenville; and "RonRon" Young of Kaukauna; seventeen grandchildren: Carla (Christopher) Busse, Erin (Nathan) Schleicher, Charles E.     Obituary:
    Helen J. Pierre, 81, of Appleton, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Heartwood Homes in Appleton. Helen Jean Pierre was born on September 10, 1933 in the Town of Deer Creek, in Outagamie County. She was the second of four children born to the late Marian (Smith) and Clarence Young. Helen graduated from Clintonville High School in 1951. She married the love of her life, Everett Pierre, on June 10, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bear Creek. They spent 60 wonderful loving years together until his death in November of 2013. She was proud of being a full time mother, and loving grandmother. In an age when many women did not work outside of the home, she was also the full time office staff for her husband's insurance agency for many years, both in their home and at the office in the downtown area of Clintonville. She was a woman of many talents. Helen could sew proficiently; she was an excellent cook and loved to bake. A member of the St. Rose Altar Society and Christian Mothers she volunteered for many church activities. She loved to curl in couple's league. She was an avid bridge player and loved a game of cards. Later in life Mom took up ceramics and then oil painting. Her home and the homes of all her family are decorated with her precious works of art. She especially loved painting landscapes, birds, and Christmas ornaments. She enjoyed refinishing furniture. She learned to swim at the age of 50 when her grandchildren were born, to be able to enjoy time in the water with them at their lake home. Until she was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease she loved to travel, taking many trips both in this country and abroad with Everett. In retirement she enjoyed several winters in Panama City Beach, FL and the remainder of the year was spent at the Cloverleaf Lakes where she and Dad built their dream home. When her health began to fail, they moved to Appleton to be nearer to family. She was a mentor of faith for all who knew her. She was a woman of grace and good taste.
    Helen is survived by her children; Mary Ann (Mel) Johnson of Appleton, Jeffrey (Ann)Pierre of Hortonville, Barbara (Rick) Futter of Mequon, and David (Lisa) Pierre of Appleton, ten grandchildren; Nathan (Becky) Johnson, Sarah (Ryan) Brockman, Michael Johnson, Carolyn (Travis) Pedersen, John (Laura) Pierre, Kristin (Chad) Pierre-Balthazor, Andrew (Maggie Landry) Futter, Emily Futter, Katie (Patrick) Koleske, and Lauren Pierre, six great-grandchildren; Audrey Johnson, Jack and Benjamin Pedersen, Sophia Koleske, Owen Brockman, and Patrick Landry-Futter.     Marlene Lyons, age 68, of Appleton, passed away at Cherry Meadows Hospice on May 24, 2013. Marlene was born in Bear Creek on December 8, 1944, daughter of the late Robert and Joyce (Muthig) Balthazor. On October 20, 1962, she married Jerry Lyons, and together the couple enjoyed fifty years together. They raised two daughters: Leann (David) Roth of Harrison and their son Austin; and Kara Wiesner of Oshkosh and her children Brody and Xander. She is also survived by two brothers: Calvin (Peggy) Balthazor of Colorado and Rodney (Nancy) Balthazor of Darboy; three brothers-in-law: Ron Kuchenbecker of Crandon, LeRoy Lyons of Appleton, and Kenneth (Barbara) Lyons of Appleton. There are also many nieces and nephews. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws: Joseph and Sally Lyons, and a sister Karen Kuchenbecker. Marlene enjoyed crafting, crocheting, reading, playing games and puzzles. Memorial services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME— TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S.     Robert "Bob" L. Roberts, age 62, of Winneconne, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born July 15, 1950, in New London to Frank and Hazel (Bessette) Roberts. Bob was a 1969 graduate of Manawa High School. On August 31, 1974, he married Barb Reinke. For over 20 years he worked at Wisconsin Tubing in Omro until his retirement in July 2012. Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his nieces and nephews, who he treated like his own grandchildren. Bob was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Winneconne.
    Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barb Roberts, of Winneconne; four sisters, Beverly Willard, of Mattoon, Wisconsin; Gloria Knorr, of Appleton; Judy (Jay) Krake, of New London; Mary Brennan, of Hollywood, Florida; a sister-in-law, Doris Roberts, of Lewiston, Maine; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    Preceding Bob in death were his father, Frank Roberts; his mother, Hazel Roberts Barrington; step-father, Clyde Barrington; a brother, Keith Roberts; a niece, Cindy Lou Piotter; and three brothers-in-law, Ron Knorr, Conrad Christensen, and Bob Willard.

On June 15, 1974 she was united in marriage to Charles T. Gilbertson. Theresa was a hardworking, stubborn and inspirational person.     Alan "Uncle Al" Young, age 54 of Hollandtown, passed away on Sunday morning, December 11, 2016, after an ongoing battle with an aneurysm. Al was born in Appleton on April 20, 1962, son of Ronald and Berniece Young. Everyone will remember Al as a fun-loving father and grandfather who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on small engines in his free time. All who knew him also knew this about him: he was just plain naughty!
    Al is survived by his mother: Berniece Young; two sons: Jay Young and Gary (Rachel Beard) Young; five grandchildren: Miah, Ava, and Jacob VanDerSteen and Alexa and Jeremiah Young. He also leaves behind six sisters and a brother: Theresa (Charles) Gilbertson, Colleen (Tom) Brazee, Julie (Roy) Mankovecky, Laurie (Mark) Rogers, Charlene (Steve) Babbitts, Mary (Jim) Keller, and Ronald B. Young, Jr. There are also many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Al. Al was preceded in death by his father Ronald Young, and by his daughter, Anni VanDerSteen on December 2.
    A prayer service for Al will be held at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.     Ann "Anni" VanDerSteen, age 32, of Kaukauna, died on Friday, December 2, 2016 in Hilbert. She was born September 17, 1984 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, daughter of Mary Hopfensperger and Alan Young. Anni graduated from Kaukauna High School, class of 2003 and married Jason VanDerSteen on October 20, 2006 at the St. John Crystal Ballroom.
    Survivors include her husband: Jason; her children: Miah, Ava & Jacob VanDerSteen; her mother and step-father: Mary & David Halbach; her father: Alan Young; her grandmother: Berniece Young; Her father-in-law: Mark VanDerSteen; her mother-in-law: Vickie Miller and her significant other, Robyn Martzahl; 2 brothers: Jay Young & Gary Young and his significant other, Rachel Beard; step-siblings: Pete (Jaime) Halbach, Ann (Joey) Meyers; a niece: Alexa; and a nephew: Jeremiah. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Robert & Evelyn Hopfensperger and Ronald J. Young.
    Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 6:30 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.
    A memorial fund has been established in the name of Ann "Anni" VanDerSteen.

    Miah M. Van Der Steen, Kaukauna, age 13 died peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 9, 2003 in Appleton, WI daughter of Jason Van Der Steen and the late Jaime Petrie and also her adoptive mother, the late Ann "Anni" Van Der Steen. Miah was an "A" Student of the 7th grade at Riverview Middle School in Kaukauna. She participated in many sports, such as track, horseback riding, hunting and fishing. Miah enjoyed spending time with her siblings Ava and Jacob and her extended family and friends.
    She is survived by her father, Jason Van Der Steen; sister, Ava, brother, Jacob, both at home; grandparents: Mark Van Der Steen (special friend April), Vickie Miller (special friend Rob),Bruce (Mickey) Petrie, Jacque Dresang, and Dave (Mary) Halbach; great-grandparents: Carol (Jerry) Van Der Steen, Paul (Eileen) Petrie, Marie Miller, and Berniece Young; three uncles and an aunt: Paul (fiancée Kristen), Jay, Gary, and Angie (Ed) Gonnering. She is further survived by numerous other friends and relatives.
    She was preceded in death by her mothers: Jaime Petrie and Anni Van Der Steen; grandfather, Al Young, great-grandfathers: Jerome Miller and Ronald Young, great-grandparents: Bob and Evelyn Hopfensperger.
    Funeral services for Miah will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 West Seventh St., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating.
