    George Schreurs Wrightstown
    Age 76, passed away Sunday. He was born August 25, 1898 at West De Pere and resided in the Wrightstown area all of his life. He was a janitor at St. Paul School for thirty-one years and retired nine years ago. Mr. Schreurs was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Paul Catholic Church. Survivors are a son, Gordon of Little Chute; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Betty) Maufort of Black Creek; a brother, John of Wrightstown; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Poehler of Green Bay; eight grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death in 1955. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from St. Paul Catholic Church at Wrightstown with burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the De Wane Funeral Home in Wrightstown after 3 p.m. on Tuesday where there will be a prayer service at 8 Tuesday evening.

    Mary Jane Johnson, age 89, of Kaukauna, passed away at Cherry Meadows, Appleton, on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Mary Jane was born on April 6, 1925, in Wrightstown, to the late John and Agnes (Gerrits) Schreurs. She married Donald R. Johnson on August 26, 1961, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown: he preceded her in death on March 25, 1995. Mary Jane was a faithful member of Holy Cross Parish for more than 50 years. She was employed as Head Cashier at the former Home Mutual Insurance Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1985. Mary Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed going out to eat and playing cards with "The Girls," doing number puzzles and playing bingo, and spent many enjoyable summers at the cottage in Northern Wisconsin.
    Survivors include her son, Patrick (Judy) Johnson; her grandchildren, Andy (Katie) Johnson of Walford, Iowa, and their children, Kyle and Kara; Chad (Angie) Johnson of Kaukauna, and their children, Alaina and Grant; Rebecca (Dave) Ernsthausen, Chicago, Illinois; her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Schreurs and Shirley Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Schreurs; her sister, Ethel Femal; and in-laws, Clifford Femal, Carl (Ruby) Melchert, Clifford Johnson and Allen Johnson.
    The Funeral Liturgy for Mary Jane will be at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.

    Ethel M. (Schreurs) Femal, Age 85, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Parkside Care Center. Ethel was born on September 26, 1926 in Wrightstown, Wisconsin the daughter of the late John and Agnes M. (Gerrits) Schreurs. She grew up in Wrightstown, graduated from Wrightstown High in 1944 and married Clifford R. Femal on October 10, 1947. Ethel was a devoted mother and wife and with Cliff raised three children in Kaukauna. She worked for short periods at the Woolen Mill in Appleton and at Kaukauna Klub Cheese. She liked to garden and put a little love in all the fruit and vegetables she canned and the food she prepared. Ethel was a longtime member of Holy Cross Church and the Fox Valley Golf Club. She enjoyed golf, fishing, playing cards and was an avid Packer fan.
    Ethel is survived by her daughter: Barbara (Paul) Tanoura, Honokaa, Hawaii and his children, Kristian and January; a son, John (Julie) Femal, Eugene, Oregon and their two childen, Brenden and Claire Femal; a granddaughter, Nicole (Femal) Earle, Augusta, Georgia; and great granddaughter, Courtney Earle; four step great grandchildren, Hayley, Kristina, Isaac and Trevor, all of Hawaii; her sister, Mary Jane Johnson and five in-laws, Lorraine Schreurs, Clayton McCabe, Robert Geenen, Bill Baldwin and LaVerne Femal.
    Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Femal, a son, Daniel Femal, a brother, Robert Schreurs, and nine in-laws, Harry and Phelan Femal, Helen (Pat) McCabe, Kathleen McCabe, Mary Ellen (Don) Hoh, Sally Geenen and Grace Baldwin.
    A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, at HOLY CROSS CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna with Fr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Family will receive friends and family at a dinner to follow in Friendship Hall.

    Gordon J. Schreurs, age 82, of Brewster Village, Appleton, WI, formerly of Little Chute, died Thursday, November 8, 2007, at Brewster Village. He was born March 14, 1925, to the late George and Eva (Gerrits) Schreurs in Wrightstown. Gordon married the former Theresa Boots on November 20, 1948, at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute. He enlisted into the U.S. Army on July 10, 1943, and served until his honorable discharge on January 10, 1946. Gordon worked in the paper industry his entire life, retiring from Midtec in June of 1986.
    He was a longtime member of St. John Parish and the American Legion Jacob Coppus Post 258. Gordon loved card playing and most recently enjoyed bingo. He was a great outdoorsman, especially enjoying, fishing and hunting in his younger years.
    He is survived by his son, Daniel Schreurs; his three daughters: Donna (Larry) Blake and their daughter, Kandace; Mary Schreurs and Barbara Schreurs; his sister, Elizabeth (Leonard) Maufort; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Theresa; his infant daughter, Julie; two infant brothers, Clayton and Vincent; and an infant sister, Lois.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be 5 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2007, at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH, Little Chute with Rev. David Funk, OFM Cap. officiating. Friends will be received on Monday at Church from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Full military burial rights will be performed after Gordon's service by the American Legion Jacob Coppus post 258 of Little Chute. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name. He was formerly employed as a truck driver for Ga teway Transportation, and then in maintenance for 8 years at Associated Ba nk in Neenah. John enjoyed spending time at his cottage at Thunder Lak e. He also enjoyed golfing, his mini bike, and auto racing. Richard Allen officiating. Interment will be in St. Mar garet’s Cemetery with military rites at the cemetery. Family and friends m ay call on Sunday at Neenah’s Westgor Funeral Home from 4 to 8:00 pm, wi th a prayer service at 7:00 pm; and again on Monday at the church from 10: 00 am until the time of service.     Rose Marie Henkel, 82, Sheboygan, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, Jan. 31, 2012, at Terrace Estates.
    She was born Feb. 14, 1929, in Wrightstown, Wis., to John and Nellie (Schreurs) VanderZanden.
    Rose was a graduate of Wrightstown High School, Class of 1946. She was formerly married to Ignatius Klister and they made their home in Green Bay and later Plymouth.
    On Oct. 16, 1964, Rose and William H. Henkel were united in marriage. After retirement the couple wintered in Leesburg, Fla. Bill preceded her in death on July 22, 1998.
    For many years Rose was employed as an administrative secretary at General Box Co. until her retirement.
    Rose attended church at St. Dominic Catholic Church. She thoroughly enjoyed playing bingo with her group of friends as well as playing cards. She loved her cats and driving her Cadillacs.
    Rose is survived by her sisters-in-law, Hilde VanderZanden, Green Bay; Eileen VanderZanden, De Pere; and Shirley Eernisse, Sheboygan; a stepson, James (Sandra) Henkel, Northern Wisconsin; her step-grandsons, Brian and Corby Henkel; many nieces, nephews; and her neighbors and dear friends, Dave and Judy DuMez.
    In addition to her husband, Bill, Rose was preceded in death by three brothers, Francis "Bud", Joseph, and John (Marion) VanderZanden; her stepson, William Henkel, Jr. and his wife, Sandra; and her very dear friend, Stan Kichefski.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Ballhorn Chapels. The Rev. Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of St. Dominic Catholic Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Entombment will take place in the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Nicolet Memorial Gardens in Green Bay, Wis.

    Barbara Schreurs - Tigerton - Barbara Ann Schreurs, age 52, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.
    She was born on November 26, 1965, daughter of the late Gordon and Theresa (Boots) Schreurs.
    Barbara is survived by her siblings: Donna (Larry) Blake, Mary Schreurs and Daniel Schreurs; her special friend, Dennis Hoskins; an aunt, Betty (Leonard) Maufort; many cousins and other friends.
    Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Theresa and an infant sister, Julie.
