    Clarence A. Litscher, 81, Appleton, passed away on Jan. 2, 2010, after a lengthy and courageous battle with a variety of illnesses. Junior was born on May 6, 1928, to the late Clarence and Cecelia Litscher. On Sept. 11, 1948, he married Geane Luedtke at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. She preceded him in death on April 20, 1992. Junior was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the latter part of World War II. He was a self-employed contractor and beekeeper in the Appleton area until his retirement.
    In his younger years, Junior enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also spent many hours working in his warehouse and he could fix just about anything. Junior enjoyed his children and grandchildren and was always happy to see them. He will be greatly missed by his entire family. We will miss our many "chats" with Dad.
    Junior is survived by his daughter, Sherry (Doug) Van Dyn Hoven, Kaukauna; two sons, Jim (Kathy) Litscher, Eau Claire; and Russ (Roseann) Litscher, Combined Locks; his six grandchildren, Tim, Tyler, Traci and Tom, Eau Claire; Chad and Kaylie, Combined Locks; one great-grandson, Aiden; his sister and brother-in-law, Ramona and Gordon Van Asten; as well as many nieces and nephews.
    Junior was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerome and Alois; and by his sister, Virginia Jansen.
    Friends may call at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Appleton, on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. To honor Junior's wishes, there will not be a formal funeral ceremony. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
    The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Shilo Ramos and the staff at the Appleton VA Outpatient Center and the staff of ThedaCare at Home for their loving care. The family would further like to thank his sturgeon spearing buddy and friend of many years, Scott Schmalz, for his help and friendship.
    A memorial has been established in Junior's name to benefit the Appleton VA Outpatient Center.

    Gregory Jansen, of Kimberly, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on October 27, 1947, in Appleton, the son of the late Robert and Virginia (Litcher) Jansen. On June 3, 1983, he married Mary (Wyngaard) Domingos at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. Greg was employed at Fox River Paper - Neenah Paper for 42 years, and retired in November of 2009. He was a union steward for many years. Greg enjoyed hunting and fishing with his three sons, traveling with Mary, and watching the children play sports. His family meant the world to him! He loved spending time with his family and friends.
    Greg is survived by his loving wife: Mary Jansen; three sons: Dean (Lisa) Domingos, Dan Domingos, and Randy (Emily) Jansen; three grandchildren: Danielle, Joelle, and Derek Domingos; two sisters: Crystal (Steve) Campbell and Karen (Tim) Jansen; uncle: Gordy (Ramona) Van Asten and two aunts: Grace (the late Jim) Hartjes and Marianne (the late Cliff) Jansen. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Greg was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary (nee Beyer) Jansen and a nephew, Donovan Campbell.
    The funeral service for Greg will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel. The family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service.

    Sherry Van Dyn Hoven, age 59 of Kaukauna, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015, after a lengthy but courageous battle with cancer. Sherry was born on July 31, 1955 in Appleton, the second child and only daughter to Clarence A. and Geane E. Litscher. Sherry attended Kaukauna High School where she met her high school sweetheart, Doug Van Dyn Hoven. Both graduated from Kaukauna in 1973. Sherry and Doug were joined in marriage on November 15, 1974.
    Sherry enjoyed a 40 year career in banking at AnchorBank (formerly Fox Cities Bank). While working, she volunteered for several organizations. Early in her career, she held various board of directorship positions for the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter 239 of the Institute of Financial Education, positions of Secretary and President of the South Appleton Area Business Association (S.A.A.B.A.). Later, she liked serving as a volunteer for Junior Achievement and the Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce. She was honored to have received a Volunteer of the Year Award from the Chamber. Also, Sherry was proud to have been a graduate of the 2008-2009 Leadership Fox Cities Program.
    Sherry's other interests included reading, listening to music, cooking, baking, decorating their home, meeting friends for lunch and shopping. She especially enjoyed leisurely car rides with Doug. Sherry treasured moments with her friends who always provided her with many laughs throughout her life.
    Sherry is survived by her loving husband: Doug; her brothers: Jim (Kathy) Litscher of Eau Claire and Russ (Roseann) Litscher of Combined Locks; her nephews and nieces: Tim Litscher, Tyler Litscher (also Godchild), Traci (Kyle) Balts, Tom Litscher, Chad Litscher (also Godchild) and Kaylie Litscher (also Godchild). Sherry is further survived by Doug's parents: Raymond & Margaret Van Dyn Hoven; and his brothers and sisters: Jeff (Cindy) Van Dyn Hoven, Jill Van Groll, Joan (Jim) Vanevenhoven all of Kaukauna, and Beth Schaeffer of Iron Mountain, Michigan. The Van Dyn Hoven nieces and nephews are: Ben (Amy) Van Dyn Hoven (also Godchild), Nathan (Cathy) Van Dyn Hoven, Nels (Heidi) Van Dyn Hoven, Sam (Kristin) Van Dyn Hoven, Scott (Ellen) Van Groll, Mandi (Matt) Hurst, Craig (Amanda) Hammen, Dana Hammen, Kimberly (Jonathon) Anderson, and Charlie Schaeffer. Survivors also include many great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence A. and Geane E. (Luedtke) Litscher.
    On Thursday, February 5, 2015, family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue in Kaukauna. At Sherry's request, a Celebration of Life will be a private event for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing a memorial fund to honor Sherry's memory and favorite charities.
    Sherry would like to send a special thank you to the many people who so graciously supported and encouraged her throughout her cancer battle. She would like to thank Dr. Timothy Goggins and his wonderful Team at the Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their continuous care and concern. Sherry would also like to thank her numerous friends and family for the stream of meals, cards, e-mails, phone calls, visits and prayers which gave so much strength and comfort to both Sherry and Doug. A very special thank you needs to be said to our last angel, Amy M. from ThedaCare at Home. You were a very special gift to our family.
